I had a wonderful experience at Holly Bank Surgery today. I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment quickly, and I was fortunate to have Dr. S Ali as my doctor. Dr. S Ali was not only professional but also incredibly compassionate. She took the time to make me feel comfortable and at ease during my appointment.

What stood out to me the most was Dr. Ali's genuine interest in getting to know me, including asking about my home country. This thoughtful approach really helped alleviate my tension, especially since it was my first NHS appointment since arriving in the UK. I appreciate the care and attention I received at Holly Bank Surgery and their commitment to follow up with my tests, and I'm grateful for Dr. S Ali's kindness and professionalism.

I understand that receptionists in medical practices are under a lot of pressure, but that does not give them a right to be rude. The receptionist interrupted, was not interested in hearing about my concern and made me feel stupid for seeking medical advice. I’ve never come across a worse receptionist to be honest.

The receptionists are an absolute disgrace. They are rude, abrupt and have no manners what so ever! The only good receptionist is the young girl. She's nice, the rest of them are old bags! Shame on you Holly Bank Surgery!

Nice to be sat in the waiting room hearing the ladies behind the desk gossiping and talking about patients judging them on who they are and the reasons for wanting to speak to a particular GP disgusting behaviour from people with little to no understanding.

Holly Bank have been an incredibly helpful GP for me. Efficient and fast every time I've needed them and the receptionists have been lovely over the phone. Even recommended them to 3 of my friends and got them to transfer. Would recommend!

No stars sadly at all (had to put 1 star in order to post a review) as I would not recommend this practice or Craven Road. I waited over an hour on a few occasions just for a 10 min appointment. I feel the doctors do not provide proper health care advice during appointments, maybe due to be over stretched? On a few occasions I felt the doctors have not believed a genuine health issue and passed it over as not important. I have also found the doctors don't listen at all. One particular doctor I didn't want to see, as I found her very unhelpful. So I made another appointment again to see another doctor, but was given this particular doctor over again. There is a major lack of support and advise.

I wouldn't normally spend time writing a review, but needs must. I have felt messed around as a patient with this being the worst surgery I have been to. These patient experiences should NOT be happening at all, so please look at how to run the surgery better for all future patients. And yes I do contribute each month to the NHS.

Fantastic doctors.
GPS really know their patients, they are thorough and compassionate.
Rachel and Carrie are just THE best at taking bloods, giving injections. I feel like family.
