**My Go-To Getaway - Peaceful, Cozy, and Simply Perfect**

I've stayed at this Bed and Breakfast more times than I can count, and I just have to share how special this place is. Coming from a city where there’s constant noise—cars, sirens, trains—you name it, this B&B has become my little haven. It's the perfect escape to just breathe and relax.

I've been here in every season, and it’s always beautiful. The rooms are super comfy, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. They allow you to prepare your own meals with ease. It's like home away from home but better because it’s so peaceful.

What makes it even more special are Andrea and Paul, the owners. They’re the kindest people and always make everyone feel welcome.

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy place to unwind, I can’t recommend this B&B enough. It’s my go-to spot whenever I need a break from the city

A superb Bed and Breakfast experience. Paul and Andrea are wonderful hosts and make you so welcome. Location is wonderfully peaceful. Breakfast selection is extremely good and well presented. We cannot wait to return for another visit.

We hired all the rooms as a large family. Hosts / Owners were helpful from the moment we made the booking until we left.|Accommodation was fantastic, in great condition, very clean and very comfortable. Definitely worth staying and so reasonably priced. |Our 2nd visit, expect to make a 3rd and 4th....|Loads to do and visit within a short drive. A great base for a large group.

Well what can we say?!! Andrea is beyond fantastic! Nothing is ever too much trouble! The rooms are utterly outstanding and the cleanliness is out of this world!||The views of the lakes from the patio are utterly beautiful and breath taking!||Andreas breakfasts are fantastic! ||We go at least once a year and have recommended Andrea to friends and family - even if you aren’t into fishing the views and country walks are definitely worth it!

I found Higher Kingcombe about 8 years ago when I booked it for a big birthday. I always remembered how wonderful it was but lost the details and time fades memory. However, my son's wife found it again and 10 of us took it over for another birthday.||It is hard to describe just how perfect this place is. Ok it doesn't have state of the art furnishings or decor but it has a comfortable, welcoming feel with an almost perfect layout. |The en-suite rooms are situated around a courtyard. The rooms are like hotel rooms with their own TVs and tea making facilities. They are beautifully presented with white crisp bedding. The central barn is where you can cook on large industrial type cookers and eat around a large table or just relax and play games.||The outlook over a number of fishing lakes is just perfect and you have the Dorset Wildlife trust walks on the doorstep. At the end of one of these walks we found a wonderful restaurant and cafe (just minutes by car up the road)||But the icing on the cake are the owners, Andrea and Paul. I believe customer service can mar even the best of establishments. These owners could teach many places with pretensions a thing or two. They are first and foremost nice people. They genuinely care whether you have a nice time and will do everything they can to ensure that your experience is first class. Andrea cooked a three course meal for us at £15 a head and I would argue that this couldn't be beaten anywhere.||I hesitated about writing this review because, selfishly, I would like to keep this establishment to myself but my better side won.||So there you have it. A top class place in an area of outstanding natural beauty with first rate customer service. What more could anyone want?

Husband and I do a fair amount of staying and fishing. This is the best place so far and would certainly take some beating. Very accommodating hosts, Andrea & Paul, made us feel very much at home and gave us good information about the area. Andrea cooked us some lovely breakfasts with her gorgeous fresh free range eggs which put the supermarket ones to shame. We had access to the kitchen and use the laundry facilities. I have to walk with a stick so the disabled facilities are welcome. We were the only couple staying that week so Andrea put us in the room with the wet room. The powerful hot shower was very welcome after a days fishing. Our bathroom had appropriately placed handrails and included a low level sink also for wheelchair users. |Fishing was superb in beautiful surroundings with free ranging sheep and lambs. This is free for guests but £7 a day for non guests. There is a small carpark towards the bottom of the hill and next to one of the fishing lakes which we used. Quality fish from the spring fed lakes. We caught roach, bream, common and mirror carp, perch. Apparently there are some chub somewhere... |Andrea cooked us 2 evening meals during our stay and even went to get us an Indian takeaway one night. There is a spar in Maiden Newton about 10 mins drive away for your drinks etc. |So impressed, we've booked up for next year.

Finding decent accommodation for 10 ladies on a walking weekend is difficult but we landed on our feet this time. Higher Kingcombe Lodge was perfect. The rooms are all comfortable, well furnished and extremely clean and then there is the food. Andrea and a Paul will cater for you if you wish. Well, I would say wish! The meals she put on were amazing. Delicious food, plenty of it and very reasonably priced. To go out walking all day and have a three course meal put in front of you and cleared away afterwards was bliss. Unlicensed so take your own wine/gin, gin and gin!!!! Nothing was too much trouble. I'd forgotten my walking poles so Andrea lent me hers. She even came and picked me up when the walk became too much for me. Service with a capital S and five stars. Thank you Paul and Andrea. We're booking for next year!

First time there, only for the fishing. Had a great time, except for the weather.
Caught some nice carp and a bream. Fish in mint condition.
