I went to Bow Brew and noticed the Health Garden poster outside, so I called the lady and booked a head and shoulder massage. I should have known it would be a bad experience when she was available in just 20 minutes.

The lady who served me mentioned she’s the manager of the company and, although she’s a qualified masseuse, she usually doesn’t give massages because she manages the therapists. However, for some reason, she was the one giving massages today, and there were no other therapists available.

While I waited for my turn, I noticed her phone was constantly ringing with either incoming calls or an alarm she had set to time each session. How can anyone relax in such an environment?

When it was finally my turn, she got busy booking other clients and taking payments, which I didn’t mind at first. After waiting, she eventually came to give me my massage but realised she hadn’t cleaned the chair. She grabbed a Dettol spray, which had a very strong smell as I laid my head on the headrest. After wiping the chair, I noticed she didn’t wash her hands. Being patient and polite, I reluctantly allowed her to continue the massage. I didn’t want to be rude or walk out in front of the other women who were waiting.

The area where I was seated wasn’t private, and the women waiting could see others getting dressed and undressed.

I regularly go for massages but decided to try this place today because my daughter’s nursery is across the road. I usually come to Bow Brew for coffee and was unfortunately drawn in by the poster advertising the service. Sadly, it turned out to be the worst experience.

P.S. Forcing people to give 5-star reviews will naturally lead to a 4.8 rating. I witnessed this while I was waiting.

I have been suffering from itchy scalp for a few month. I bought a shampoo bar for the clinic and after 4 wash my head was completely itchy free, and feel the head is lighter.

I have had hijamah session as well as massage at Health Garden clinic many times and have felt so relaxed and energised after every treatment. Very affordable, friendly and welcoming environment. Sister Maryam is a qualified Health Coach and she always readily gives out Health & wellbeing advice even when just having a hijamah session. Highly recommend.
