It’s absolutely unacceptable and appalling. A patient (my husband) who has undergone surgery and requires daily dressing changes is left to fend for themselves because the facility isn’t open on weekends. To make matters worse, the nurse who was supposed to attend didn’t even show up. The patient was left with no choice but to make their way to Brighton for a walk-in appointment, simply to ensure the dressing was changed to prevent infection. This patient, who had already spent the entire day waiting at home for the nurse, was then forced to travel and endure further delays.

How is this kind of treatment justifiable? It seems that unless a patient is on the brink of dying, their needs are ignored, and care is unnecessarily delayed. This kind of negligence and lack of accountability is beyond unacceptable.

this surgery is normally very good the receptionists are lovely and so is dr dare but today I saw a new doctor explained to her I have anxiety and I am autistic so I ask questions for things. I asked her questions on why I couldn’t get a blood test for my estrogen levels as I had missed my periods for 5 months and she said because I had a blood test in January when I was healthier and had them I wasn’t allowed one again and wouldn’t rationalise why even when I told her that I have a history of low estrogen and osteoporosis in my family. There was no reassurance from her and she just shut me down and told me I was going in circles , she rang me later on after and my mom and partner both heard her on speaker and were shocked at how she just hung up on me when I was asking her to explain why she wouldn’t let me have my estrogen levels checked again as they were healthy in January but clearly not now as I’ve missed a period for 5 months which I told her twice in person and she asked me again and said 3 months which proves she didn’t listen to me. She didn’t seem interested or like she cared and it’s made me feel more anxious to go back to the doctors. It’s sad how she spoke to me especially knowing I have bad anxiety the fact it’s taken me this long to book a appointment and I was just talked down to for wanting to know more about my health and wanting some help

Difficult to get an appointment. Reception friendly but every day almost impossible to get through to them. Doctors very nice apart from just one, no names obviously but perhaps he should retire.

Been using this GP service for about 18months now and its been good, not great but good. The few times I've had to take my daughter for check ups, she's been greeted with a warm welcome by the medical staff at the clinic. Call waiting times are still an issue though but I'm yet to have a delay in getting booked promptly when I eventually get through. I've had situations when I got to see a GP on the same day we placed the booking.

Key Recommendations:
Front staff could try and be a bit more polite. While I understand it might be overwhelming dealing with a large group of sick patients daily, a smile and hello could go a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Moved here recently and joined the practice. The staff are really lovely, helpful and friendly. The appointment call back service is great as it means I don’t have to hold for my turn! I haven’t had any problems getting an appointment, and the doctors seem nice and I have an appointment next week. As far as I can see it’s a lovely surgery

The reception staff - are AWESOME- nothing is ever too much trouble for them! How they manage to be so polite and kind and helpful with everyone is fantastic.

It's my local doctors practice, been going here since we moved to peacehaven in 1999 , like all practices sometimes it's hard to get an appointment when you need one but in general it's not a problem. The staff are fantastic as are the doctors, you don't sense that you're being rushed during your appointment the doctors are very caring & listen to what you have to say before sorting out the issue, the practice is immaculate even kids seem to like visiting 😁 to sum up " fabulous"

Good surgery but they need to use the online booking function of the NHS app. Booking an appointment first thing in the morning is fine for some but not everyone.
