I am a sales consultant for Dreams a multiple bed retailer. Recently I was privileged to visit the Harrison Spinks mattress and bed factory a major supplier and attend a sales seminar and witness the production and flow process of their mattresses manufacturing at first hand. At the same time I enjoyed hospitality at their Georgian house and farm at Hornington manor a wedding venue where they raise their sheep and grow hemp for their Leeds factory. Their mattresses are high end and brand leaders embodying advanced spring technology as well as totally sustainable fillings. They have the Queens award for sustainability and innovation and export worldwide. If you have a chance request a factory visit to see so much hand crafting working hand in hand with automation is a fascinating experience

Mattress quickly became deformed and lumpy, despite being very expensive - and claim to be luxury. Customer service were incredibly unhelpful - wouldn’t answer my questions, or provide me with the details of the guarantee - which they’re refusing to honour. Instead they said if I wasn’t happy I can call citizens advice! Avoid at all costs.

Please do not buy from this company!! I bought a very expensive Magnolia medium tension mattress with 23750 innovative springs!! However, the mattress I chose at the furniture store was not the mattress I received. The one I received is very firm and It has aggravated/ worsened problems with my hip and shoulder. I informed Harrison Spinks the next day to investigate. This company has a policy only to investigate after 12 weeks. They did send a technician to investigate. The report stated that there is no marked difference between the two mattressses! This makes sense, because the technician is not from an independent company!! I have a legal right to return a purchased item within 30 days, but since this delay has been forced on me I am now stuck with this horrible mattress!! I eventually got the store manager to investigate and made a house visit and he agreed that there is a massive difference between these matrressses.

Bought a King Size Somnus Viceroy 6000 mattress and divan from Barker & Stonehouse in 2021. Spent a small fortune on this bed thinking it would be amazing. Felt great and supportive in the shop. Went for FIRM support as I do have some back issues.
After 18 months half of the wheels on the divan had broken and had to be replaced and the mattress is so saggy I wake up with a bad back virtually every morning. I am the heavier person so my side of the bed appears to be significantly lower than my wife’s side. We flip and turn and it doesn’t help. The mattress absolutely is NOT firm support and feels like it goes against trade description! You cannot sleep on your front in this bed and I just feel like after three years I should not be considering getting a new bed…especially after how much this cost.
I would never buy Harrison Spinks again because whilst they are British and Hand crafted, they are absolutely appalling. Think I would prefer one from Premier Inn next time!

Be warned: you have to sleep in a particular manner to suit the mattress!
This is no joke! We purchased a Harrison Spinks mattress from Land of Beds in February 2024 and have never had so many problems with any previous mattress, let alone one that cost three times the price of any previous mattress! We had followed all the guidance, turning the mattress on a weekly basis, which is a heavy job for one person, but things never got better. In fact, they got considerably worse. Land of Beds arranged for an assessor from Harrison Spinks to come and look at the mattress. In the meantime, we purchased a £90 mattress topper from another company to try to ease the bumpiness of the Harrison Spinks mattress. The supervisor arrived as planned and simply checked how the bed was dipping on each side. He agreed there was a hard section throughout the middle, and he then proceeded to lay on the bed and roll from side to side. If that is their stringent testing process, then I am flabbergasted! The assessor said that in most beds, one party is heavier than the other, so when one person gets out of bed, it would help the mattress if the other person could roll into the middle of the bed to even it out. Yes! So, whoever leaves the bed first needs to wake up their partner and get them to move into the middle of the bed to help this very expensive mattress! He then offered to help me turn the mattress again as it's so heavy and left, stating that Land of Beds would be in touch. Over a week passed since his visit, and we hadn’t heard anything from either party. Therefore, we chased up Land of Beds who sent us an email stating that the assessor found no issues with the mattress and said it was our bed base causing the issues (it's never caused us issues with any other mattress), and not only that, Land of Beds also advised uthat we should consider buying a new bed base to suit the mattress! So, now we not only have to wake up and move around to suit the mattress, but they want us to spend a further £1000 to get a new bed base to suit the mattress. My suggestion to you all would be to steer clear of both Land of Beds and Harrison Spinks!

Paid a fortune for a mattress . This is actually the second one after not getting on with the first so went for one with more springs . It was comfortable in the show room as was the other but a few months down the line and I have chronic back pain from the bed . The bed is literally hurting me when I sleep . I’ve never paid so much for a bad night sleep .

I loved the tour around the factory today it was so interesting seeing how all the mattresses are made and all the very hard work that's gone into making them,and answered all the questions I asked very nice and polite thank you to all staff and employees who work their thanks again Yvette

Don’t waste your money with this dishonest company.
You have to wonder when the only people to leave a positive review are “bed consultants”
After a couple of years my Matress “settled” to an unacceptable level. (In layman’s terms the Matress stops supporting and you end up with a bad back) I had an inspection (from their inspector)and was told the Matress needed replacing. Only to receive a report weeks later stating that it’s absolutely fine. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this brand. Harrison Spinks you should be ashamed.
