Extremely frustrating experience trying to get access to medical care for my 13 year old today - who is in pain with an ear infection and who needs antibiotics. Phoned 11:45 - told all morning appointments have been used and afternoon ones not released until midday - advised to call back a few minutes before midday. Phoned back 11:57 - advised afternoon appointments not released yet and to call at midday. Phoned at 12:00 - on hold for 12 minutes (phone lines busy with all of the other patients who have been asked to call back at that minute of the day) - and when I got through told that all afternoon appointments have now gone. Perverse, unsafe way to manage access to appointments. There are far better ways to do this which do not result in time wasted for patients and reception staff, needless frustration being generated for patients (which the poor reception staff have to manage) and a random allocation of appointments to those who happen to connect to the surgery milliseconds before unlucky others rather than triaging the demand coming into the surgery and allocating resources in a considered prioritised way. Very poor system. Have experienced exactly the same scenario on previous occasions (pre-Covid) so not post-pandemic phenomenon.

Currently have pneumonia, would not allow me to book an appointment in advance, once finally booked an appointment they then cancelled the appointment on the same day, would the only give me a phone appointment. Receptionist incredibly rude, impolitely lectured me about how I should no longer be registered at this surgery as I'm currently at university even though I spend about 70% of my time at home here. Told that if I was to require a doctor to come out in an emergency they would not send one - not that I would rely on them in an emergency anyway.

Always outstanding. At previous Doctors I always requested to see a doctor who knew me but with Harptree I will see anyone as they are all brilliant. Dr Rogers, Dr Parr, Dr Robinson, Dr Coppock and Karen, Christine and Paige. Best surgery I have ever had.

Absolutely dreadful and frankly dangerous team at both Cameley and Harptree. Should have been closed by the Care Quality Commission years ago.

Need medical record for life insurance. Asked for it over 2 months ago and still nothing. Chased it 5 times and complained, but still nothing. I'm currently as risk without insurance. I need you to urgently respond.

Really poor service from Children’s nurse at harptree, unprofessional and rude, baby immunisations can be so nerve wracking for not only baby but mum too, really disappointing as all other staff are fantastic.
