This used to be a great surgery but now you cannot get an appointment even when you phone every morning you get the text later 'we are beyond our safe working capacity'. I have been forced to pay for a private GP in order to get treatment. Feel very let down by this surgery.

I know that the review is suppose to be about the practice during 'last 2 years'....But I just want to thank everyone for the last 10 years at the Surgery. All the Medical team, the administration & support team have always been there for my family. You helped me when my elderly parents needed support. You have looked after the needs of all my family & grandchildren. Even through Covid, when I was unwell you were there for me, even seeing me at the surgery when times were so difficult for everyone! Even today when I needed some advise, the reception team took my call, listened to my query and I then had a call back from 2 doctors with advice, and total reassurance! So again thank you, I know the practice has undergone 'a lot' of changes with the merging of other surgeries, but the 'World' is ever changing & I see this progress is to ensure everyone gets the best treatment that the NHS can offer! So let's embrace this and support the practice in anyway we can. And lastly, I really appreciate the regular news letters, which are great at keeping everyone informed with updates from the practice.

This drs used to be great. I have been with them for years, through pregnancy and my child’s life. Since they have merged and the service has gone over to a centralised call centre, it is appalling.
If you can actually get to see a dr, the service remains good but to get to it you have to wait in endless queues and talk to rude, uncooperative call centre staff. I am going to change drs as every time I have to call them, I am met with hostility, rudeness and a preprepared speech which does not allow for questions etc. then they may phone you back with an appointment, they can’t even book it there and then.
Trying to get a repeat prescription for hormone treatment once took four days, despite my impressing upon them how important it was and actually, was only resolved by asking a dr directly to write it for me, when he phoned me about my son.
I have just come off the phone with them now and have basically had the phone put down on me and have been huffed and moaned at because I did not want to discuss a condition with them, over the phone.
Absolutely rubbish. I’d rather treat myself with old wives tale remedies than go there again.

We are both in our 70s and reasonably computer literate but we do not understand how we are supposed to make appointments to see a doctor. The receptionists tell to 'use the app' and the website tells us to use either the NHS or Patient Accesss. But the NHS app only seems to let you make an appointment with a Nurse Practioner (although none are available it seems) and the Patient Access app now requires you to download an extra app for authentication. When I clicked on the link provided for this it was not a free app and was going to cost a lot of money. We been with the Harold Road practice for nearly 50 years and have always been more than satisfied but sadly no longer. We also have friends in other practices who still have the sort of access to doctors we use enjoy
so what has gone so wrong here?

Phoned for an appointment due to really bad cough temperature and breathlessness which I caught whilst on holiday could not get an appointment even though I sat on the phone for over two hours, got told to go to the plaza medical centre which I did payed £8 to park my car after walking there out of breath and coughing I was told they don’t do walk ins anymore to go to the urgent care at the hospital which I see a doctor and nurse and given test and put on antibiotics. Been told by the hospital if these do not work I have to return. I’m still coughing feeling unwell but do not know what to do, called the doctors again I’m now on the cancellation call list so that is not going to happen. Makes me scared for my health and well being

Not responsive, had to book a follow up appointment just to be given a blood test form to then book in with the conquest, blood test completed and results sent out via patient access and no word from the doctor. Had a swollen middle finger for months and they don't know why and don't seem to care at all. I have high cholesterol that hasn't changed after 3 months of eating healthy and regularly exercising. We clapped for these people during covid but I have no idea why! Inadequate and uninterested!

I am a carer for a lady that depends on life saving medication. Despite so many complaints this surgery continues to fail in its regular provision of this medication. The complaints have not improved their service and it appears to be impossible to setup a meeting with the practice manager or the member of staff responsible for prescriptions. The pharmacy I receive the medication from along with other local pharmacists in the area state that there are many others facing similar problems from this practice. I don’t know what to do. They appear to be unfit for purpose!

As per other reviews this practise do not train staff how to search patients /hospital letters for them to receive treatment/medication needed . This ends up causing a patient more heath issues sometimes mentally . The merge happened a few months ago
Now so there are
No excuses . If a patient is rude abbusive they shouldn’t be helped but my theory
I’d treat a person how I like to be treated but still doesn’t get you any where . Used to go to beaconsfield never had any issues . So sad how this now is .
