I really have to say that as a service the doctors surgery is unbelievable. I have had friends who are going through medical worries and treatments in differing parts of the county and country. All have said how speedy and good my doctors surgery is!

Yet I have a much better compliment, my life has been saved by the fore thought of Dr Baldwin. If Dr B hadnā€™t called me Tuesday 20th June in the am. I could have died. I have blood clots in both my lungs. At her request I went to A&E and they admitted me and started life saving treatment.

They themselves were wonderful but I would never have gone if Dr B didnā€™t ring me. Thank you to all staff at Hadlow medical centre who all play a huge role in the service provided for our local village community.

Called up to ask for antibiotics for strep throat, which I have had previously. Was told I would have to wait 5 days before being seen as I ā€œneededā€ a blood test. Went to a private doctor the same afternoon and they prescribed me antibiotics straight away, told me I did not need a blood test and that it was ridiculous that I had not received antibiotics from the GP straight away, leaving me infectious to others and unable to work.

I booked in an appointment for my daughters 6-8week vaccinations and when I arrived they had booked an appointment for myself which I didnā€™t need nor want nor ask for and told me her appointment was 45 minutes after.. which I would not of attended as I had to leave 30minutes after the given appointment time to collect my other child from school. The NHS is stretched and struggling as it is without incompetence and this is probably part of the reason it is so stretched.
*Their response literally shows exactly my point. My partner booked my babies check with her immunisation and was told 11.30. Not 12.15 at any point. Simply the appointment was 11.30. They have taken it upon themselves to force it upon me to see a Doctor for an appointment we did not ask for nor want. I arrived at the set time 11.30 for my daughters appointment which would of been enough time for my daughter to be seen and did not see anyone until 11.50 to be told it was an appointment for me. Incompetent and rude to suggest in a response I need an appointment because they ā€˜think itā€™s importantā€™, never mind how I feel about it. My daughter is rebooked in for her immunisations at a time, again, that fits in with my other child. Letā€™s hope this time I donā€™t waste my morning again and patients that need to see a doctor can.

If I could give this surgery zero stars I really would. Back in April 2020 I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg and prescribed blood thinning injections from hospital.

Was told my A&E and my doctor to inject in stomach/legs. My leg started to turn BLACK after using injections even though I was alternating legs. Phoned Dr Baldwin on 3 seperate occasions, told her I was in excruciating pain and my leg was black. She wouldn't see me due to covid. Didn't ask me to take a photo, didn't offer a video consultation, nothing. Straight diagnosed me over the phone with bruising without seeing me.

3 days later, I ended up in hospital with necrotic skin and sepsis. I had to lose all the skin on my leg and undergo skin grafts, multiple blood transfusions and spent 5 weeks unable to walk or even go to the toilet.

All of this happened whilst I was pregnant too which she was aware of.

A&E surgeons told me how lucky I was I called an ambulance and if I hadn't of I would of lost my life, I was lucky. I'm now permanently scarred for life physically and emotionally and suffered huge PTSD. I understand covid was new at the time but I she didn't offer a video call or even ask for a photo, which most other surgery's around this area were doing. Avoid this surgery like the plague.

It wasn't just my life in danger, it was also my unborn babies life too. AVOID this surgery at all costs.

And to the practice managers response to my review, yes, I have to use the surgery for my children as there is no further surgeries taking on patients and we are in an incredibly small catchment area. Children and babies still need immunisations. I personally DON'T use this poor excuse of a doctors surgery for myself, unless you count my husband coming to knock on the door to up a MG of medication without seeing or speaking to a doctor?

Also, yes I did raise concerns with a lawyer, and I was noted as not negligent, it's amazing how a doctor can fiddle with medical records, change who I was speaking too on my records which is absolutley not the case. Oh and they also have an advantage of hiding behind covid as an excuse. Unlike our fabulous nurses who saved my life.

As you can see from my photographs I'm clearly not lying, theres more that could and should of been done. I'm allowed to voice my opinion and leave a review and this is mine and I will not be changing or removing it.

What's the point in raising concerns to your surgery? My brother in law is a nurse at St Thomas' and has made me very aware of how protected your staff are!

I pray from the bottom of my heart no one EVER ends up I'll treated like I did. I will NOT be removing my review either, it's still unacceptable treatment

Dear Sar B,
Your recent feedback has been noted by Hadlow Medical Centre.
You did raise these concerns via your solicitors in May 2020 and, to
date, no further action has been taken.
These are serious allegations with many inaccuracies that we can not
discuss on a public forum. We would suggest that you follow the formal
complaints procedures. We would also welcome an opportunity to discuss this at the surgery, if you so wish.
We note that both you and your family are still actively using Hadlow Medical Centre for medical care.

My partner received her results 11 days late. During this time she had to chase results herself over 3 times. In doing so was told results were sent but not recieved.
This place must do better in handling this kind of situation as health care is important.
I'm only writing this review to try point out the negligence and hope that this does not happen again.
