Let me suicidal partner out for a day because he said he felt ok. After weeks of saying his voices wére telling him to kill himself or me. Failed to follow up when he didn't come back from leave. Report implicates me even though I was at home babysitting my granddaughter. Clearly made a huge error or judgement but tryinf to cove it up while making me look bad even though I spent 6 years trying to keep him alive. Lack of care, indifference, lack of responsibility. And trying to cover it up. Absolute disgrace

Came here for an appointment with the access team. They were very helpful and caring. It's a shame that the hard-working employees of this establishment are repaid in 1 star ratings whilst I'm sure they're doing their best. They wanted to start helping me and I think that's worth 5 stars.

Saying "negative reviews are from ignorant people" is downright ignorant in itself, they're left by patients who were treated badly. Egocentric to consider your own experience as the only one that matters.
Horrid experience here.

I think the poor reviews are purely from ignorant people.

I was sectioned by the police due to my mental health, police lied and exaggerated a lot but the staff at Great Oaks couldn’t be much better with me, I’m truly grateful.

Especially by healthcare assistant Stuart/Steward, brilliant bloke

This place needs to be shut down, the staff are horrible and racist (especially the head of mulberry ward Dr. Baron.) They wrongfully sectioned me by believing someone else's word who was lying. Also the staff mock the patients when discussing sensitive topics to do with your mental health issue.

Fill you with drugs, no proper psychology sessions and the doctors tell you rather than listen to you. Discharged with no support, straight back to suffering with mental illness will probably end up back there in an endless cycle.

Discharged me and sent me 4 hours away just because me and another patient was “copying” each other. They have no education on autism and make your mental health worse.

Absolutely useless, comes under Doncaster health trust, really says it all, just excuses after my partner's brother died at the unit, managers couldn't explain the time he was not seen. Police are involved and we will not let this rest untill the people responsible are brought before the courts If you need mental health assistance please go elsewhere we don't want this happening to your family.

UPDATE...
We have not had an inquest into my partner's brother's death, why...this mental health unit which comes under Doncaster have yet to make a formal report to the court. Dragging this out is beyond belief, 18 months, must have a lot to hide.

Again, if you need mental health help, please find somewhere else.
