Now, they wouldn’t know I was in a crisis situation but that’s why there is a level of kindness and curtesy that should always be extended... I checked online that it was open on Wednesdays from 9 am…It said on google in bright GREEN in was OPEN but there was a closed sign on the door. There was no other Information on or around the door as to WHY the store front was physically closed and WHAT TO DO IF I NEEDED PRESCRIPTIONS (critical information) but I saw the door was in fact open and with people inside.. I did not just “stroll in” feeling entitled- I made the conclusion after googling, that it probably had to be a mistake and I really needed my SNRIs. I went inside to the desk and was immediately met with some sort of thinly veiled hostility… “This is the last time we can do this for you” was said in the manner that I am receiving a great favour that I am not deserving of..!? They alluded to withholding me my antidepressants because I did it wrong? ma’am I am 29 years old. I am a vulnerable person that has in no other way been made aware of the changes of practice and do not need to be chastised or made to feel like I’ve done something wrong for reaching out for a service they provide.
A SERVICE THEY HAVE A DUTY OF CARE TO PROVIDE.
THERE IS NO NEED TO TALK DOWN TO PATIENTS AND CUSTOMERS.
I walked back round the block to my home in tears, thankfully meds in hand.
