I am v impressed with this surgery. I have POA for both my elderly parents. The doctors have been excellent at communicating with me and keeping in touch .. proactively, not just when I initiate. Reception staff similarly have been kind and understanding when it has been difficult to get Mum & Dad in for surgery requests. On behalf of me and my siblings, thank you!

this is genuinely unacceptable, My mom had a lower abdomen ultrasound almost 3 weeks ago and the doctor told me they will send the results to our gp in 5 working days. we have waited that long I called they said they have to check with the doctors and call later, they didn’t call later. called again after a week. gave me same response and didn’t call later. i called again today at 1pm said whoever was in charge had a meeting so i said i will call later and the lady told me after 5pm i can call. i did just that and the line is CLOSED. you all have no shame for lying in our faces, this is genuinely such disgusting behaviour.

I had an ultrasound appointment scheduled for 4:10 PM, and I arrived 3 minutes early. When I got there, no one was at the reception desk. After waiting for a minute, someone finally showed up to take my details and check the appointment time. To my surprise, they claimed they had already called my name before I arrived and told me I missed my slot. I was informed that I now needed to rebook. This is extremely frustrating since I was there on time, and yet, my slot was given away. The lack of organization and communication is disappointing, and the experience was very unprofessional.

I had an appt 23rd Aug - i was having symptoms of feeling bloated, pain in back&stomach and like I always needed to wee, also constipated. After this I was examined by a female doctor and after she said it was either a kidney infection due to where my pain was or a urine infection with constipation. She was going to treat me for a urine infection on a 3 day course of antibiotics and to send my urine sample for tests, which I needed to drop off at reception, I also needed to get gaviscon and senokot for the constipation. At reception a receptionist who I believe is called Simba said that they could not send it off as the lab man had already been and collected. After asking what I should do as the doctor was concerned and wanted it sent off today she asked me to wait while she finds out. After 10 minutes of waiting the lab man comes in and the receptionist hands the samples to him while watching me in reception. He then leaves. She then states the doctor has said I cannot send it off and I will need to do one after the bank holiday. I explained that I was going back to work and I’d be happy to drop my urine sample off at the lab as it seemed important. This was not an option for her. After my course of antibiotics I did another urine sample at work and it showed signs of a urine infection still to which I rang the GP reception and asked for an appointment with on going issues that I had previously described. The same receptionist said she could get me in on 11th September for a phone call as there was nothing sooner. I accepted the appointment. I had the phone call and explained my symptoms and also stated I was now getting shivers from the inside to the outside of my body and was prescribed yet more antibiotics again a 3 day course but different ones. and she would send a urine sample in if I could do one. So I did and I handed it in on the same day (11th September) i had a text message over a week later on Thursday 19th September at 18:25 (when the practice would be closed) to say “urine infection confirmed collect and commence antibiotics” no phone call so explanation but yet my THIRD lot of antibiotics in a month. I rang the GP receptionist and this time got a female named Ellie I stated I was concerned why I needed another lot of antibiotics and why are more tests not needed if the previous 2 lots of antibiotics hadn’t worked. She said she would check and put me on hold. She came back on the phone and said I needed to take them as per the doctor. Again I expressed my concern that I had no explanation why I needed a third lot of antibiotics and why I was put on the wrong ones previously - she said you weren’t put on the wrong ones” I replied to say I was if they haven’t worked she continued and then says “it’s only a urine infection” I was disgusted and asked her if she was a doctor. She then put me on hold, came back and said a doctor would call me. I then get a phone call from Dr Choti who is senior partner and asks what the phone call is about so I start to explain from the start and he interrupts and says I’m going to interrupt you there I don’t need to know the past I will just explain for this course of antibiotics he then stated they had found the germ of the urine infection and this dose should work now” he then stated it would be a week worth of antibiotics, and they usually don’t allow women to have more than a 3 day course for urine infection. I asked why I would now be on a week worth after already having 2 lots already. He again was pushing off anything I was saying and just replying with if you are not happy I ask you to rethink to remain a pt with us. his attitude was quite disgusting which explains the appalling attitude from the reception staff. To you as GP’s and receptionists you might just think it is a “urine infection” however to me it’s MY HEALTH. There has been too many people in the past who are not listened to by GPs and end up dead because of their incompetence.

Very bad service!!!! Was 1 minute late tried to call to say we would be 1-5 minutes late was on hold for the entire journey which was 40 minutes got their and they wouldn't see my wife some lady then shows up 20 minutes later and she was 15 minutes late I know this as I remember her name when they came to grab her they then seen her from being 15 minutes late and told us their is nothing they can do after driving for 45 minutes 25 miles each way
Rameeb and saffron (hope i have their names correct) both ladies both need to check the job description book and learn some manners very disappointed very hurt now need to find an alternative so my wife can try get this operation sorted as far as I'm concerned I will give the public one piece of advice on Glenfield surgery reception 2
AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS If you can get a different appointment somewhere else for a not so later date do so because the reception number 2 at Glenfield surgery should be closed down
They sent some poor lady home also for being 1 minute late and then I told them I would leave this review and they asked me not too due to having too many bad reviews AVOID THIS SURGERY AT ALL COSTS SO YOU DONT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS MY WIFE DID TODAY!!!!
If I could leave no stars I absolutely would.

Recently we had the need to consult the Social Prescriber at Glenfield Surgery. We were given an appointment quickly and received with the utmost courtesy. Good humour and positive interaction was sustained throughout. The advice, help and care given was exceptional. We were both impressed by the help and level of care we were given. The result was a favourable outcome for us. Thank you. We would not have managed without this help.

People are always quick to criticise GPs. Today I was seen 15 minutes late as it was heaving at the Drs. The Dr I saw was friendly, positive, well informed and took the time to listen to me today. Thank you again!
