Glebe House Surgery

We moved to the area 9 months ago and registered with Glebe House Surgery. I have been very impressed with their service on every occasion I have needed them. Clinical and admin staff have all been efficient, professional and friendly, and the ease of getting an appointment has been incredible! I would certainly recommend this surgery.

Moved to Bedale about 12 months ago so switched to using this surgery. I read a few reviews about the staff being unfriendly however from my experience the staff and nurses have been brilliant - in person and on the phone. Obviously going to the doctors is never a barrel of laughs but think everyone her does a splendid job.

Terrible I took my relative there and appointment was 10.30am. still waiting at 10.55am. and my relative was really ill.

Well arrived at this surgery to get forms to join the surgery as new patients. The receptionist was very dismissive, blunt and I felt rude. Definitely not a nice welcome for a possible new patient. The place did not feel welcoming either. They asked for ID not a problem until told that each person would have to present with their ID. My son is disabled and shielding since March 2019. She did not seemed bothered or undestanding. This is not a requirement to see the person. Not the way to gain new patients, remember it is us who pay your wages. No patients no money. So I will be finding another surgery. Big Big mistake. I did not expect this behaver from a fellow Yorkshire person. Cannot give any stars do not deserve any.

Had a text message asking if I could get in touch with the surgery regarding some blood tests results. Spoke to the Receptionist who informed me that I needed to make an appointment to speak to a Dr … next phone appointment not available until 26th October!! Unless I rang back at 8am ..informed her that I have never been able to get through and when I finally do get through all the appointments were gone!!! Even when I explained that I was anxious to know the results and asked if there was anyone else that could help ie a nurse .. she informed me that she was not medically trained and there wasn’t anyone else.The Drs are great when you do get to see them… however the reception staff are unsympathetic , unhelpful to say the least.

Rang up at 8 this morning ( 6th June). I was apparently number 33 in line to speak to someone. I rang back half an hour later but all the appointments had gone. I could have taken an appointment on 21st of June. 2 weeks away!! And that was for a telephone one. What is going on with the appointment system these days. And when are the doctors actually going to start working properly again instead of all these phone appointments. It’s pathetic and we all deserve better. We’re getting like a third world country with the service we get.

Great service once again from the team at Glebe House. Getting my son registered as a temporary resident was dealt with expeditiously and professionally. He was seen quickly a short while later by a GP. Well done GHS!
