Eleni Pavlopoulou

Eleni Pavlopoulou, is a physicist holding a PhD in polymer physics from the University of Crete, Greece (2009). She did a post-doc at Princeton University, USA, in the group of Prof. Y.-L. (Lynn) Loo where she was introduced in organic electronics. In 2011 she was awarded a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship and she joined Prof. Hadziioannou’s group in Bordeaux. From September 2013 until August 2020 she was an Assistant Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie, de Biologie et de Physique of the Polytechnique Institute of Bordeaux (ENSCBP – Bordeaux INP), carrying out her research at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (LCPO). In September 2020 she moved back to Greece and FORTH, where she holds an Assistant Researcher position at the Institute for Electronic Structure and Laser of FORTH. She is specialized in materials physical characterizations (structural, optical, electronic, electrical, etc.), as well as in device fabrication and performance characterization. Her current scientific interests are related to polymer-based devices for energy harvesting, such as photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, piezoelectric generators, etc.
