The most positive hospital & surgery experience I could have hoped for. Everyone who cared for me was professional, passionate, caring and amazing at what they do and making me feel comfortable at every stage. Hopefully this review puts someone else who is maybe worried, like I was, at ease. Thanks all to Laura, Jake & Annaliza on the ward. Caroline from catering, Edgar in recovery, Jen in theatre, Laura (or could have been an Olivia?) my physio, Dr Griffiths the best anaesthetist and Mr Freeman my amazing surgeon consultant and anyone else whose names I have forgotten that cared for me 🫶🏻

Went for an MRI scan of my left knee as I was referred to them by my own GP and the staff there were brilliant as they told you what was going to happen and how long it was going to take. They give you headphones to wear and can choose any music you want to listen to because I chose Wicked the film adaptation or you can listen to the Radio

This is a great hospital, I don't understand why it has such a low score. The staff are very professional and have a good bedside manner, everything is clean and tidy, the food they serve is delicious which really does matter if you have to stay as an inpatient, their waiting times are very short, they have a hot drinks machine in the waiting room which not only serves very high quality drinks but it's free, there's free WiFi, most importantly though their medical staff are all very skilled, or at least the ones I've been seen by. I work in hospitals so I can confidently say it's one of the better hospitals I've seen, so whilst I'm not going to invalidate the one star reviews people have left, I can imagine their experiences aren't reflective of the hospital as a whole. The only thing I'd say in criticism is that the hospital isn't very accessible for anyone who doesn't drive, but they can hardly be blamed for that.

I had surgery in January 2006, had lots of problems with the band fitted at Fordcombe. Went to Chichester hospital for them to give me a full bypass as the band failed. They couldn’t do the procedure as the gastric band had imbedded itself inside by stomach so had to be burnt away.
Horrific experience and not once did I get an explanation or a refund after writing numerous letters. Mr N. Boil performed my surgery. I funded it myself after saving up.
I still suffer with bad acid reflux and it’s affected the whole of my life everyday!

I had bunion surgery from Mr Richie and all I can say is amazing. From pre assessment to discharge his professionalism shone through. I have not even experienced any pain despite what I read online. I would also like to mention all the supporting staff who again showed nothing but care and kindness on every appointment. I couldn’t recommend Spire enough for your medical needs.

This hospital is outstanding. My wife had a hysterectomy here on Monday and has received the most wonderful care. There are not enough words to describe how amazing Mr Chappatte is. The most caring and understanding person we have ever met. The rest of the hospital team from the receptionists to the nurses to all the catering crew were fantastic. Once again all very caring not just to my wife but me as well. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful hospital. Thank you so much to everyone at Spire.
