I rang while unable to breath properly. Apparently this wasn't urgent to them and received a text saying I'd get an appointment in 2-5 weeks. After calling them back and explaining that breathing was quite important they got me an appointment later the same day. I went in to a nearly empty waiting room so they clearly weren't busy! After all that I saw a Doctor called Chrissie who was great. This doctors surgery used to be great until it was took over. It's rating speaks volumes of how good it is now.

Hard to get appointment . Didn’t forward any of my info to specialist . wasted lots of money travelling to pointless appointments only for them to change my name so no correspondence ever reached me . Removed from waiting list I’d been on for two years as a result , sciatica and disc worse than ever and seems impossible to get back into the system no matter how I try .

If I could give minus stars I would.Something has to be done about this surgery. Why are doctors not seeing patients? Why are receptionists lying about doctors calling you back? Why are they advertising for new patients? Why are receptionists being told by doctors to tell a patient 'if its that bad,go to a+e'?.Why are they getting away with the shocking way they are (not) treating patients?Must be a petition or a forum for a place like this.Shame on all staff.I don't know how you sleep at night.

Awful experience as always. Since Covid started all services had moved online. It is extremely difficult to get face to face appointment or even to get a referral to a specialist. How can they prescribe medication based on photos taken by mobile phone? Is this what they call the cutting edge of medical science? RIP NHS

My honest opinion having recently had to deal with this poor excuse for a Doctors Surgery is FIND ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD.
I am horrified by the level or in this case total lack of care given to patients. I called on three separate occasions recently to resolve an issue and although Caller Number One in the queue had to wait over 20 minutes on all occasions to speak to someone who then tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible without listening to what I was saying, understanding the urgency, engaging or trying to work with me to resolve the health concern. All I wanted was a home visit for an elderly relative under their care to address serious failings in her care after been utterly appalled by the state they had left her in when last visiting.
They have changed an active, sprightly and sentient 85+ year old into a chair bound, ulcer ridden, sepsis level infected shadow of her former self, shame on them and shame on what they have done to undermine many years good service that patients received for many years from Dr Scarborough and his team there.
Since his departure the care levels have seriously dropped and over a period of 5 years have gone from a highly recommended, caring, professional practice into something that in my opinion should be closed down for the good of their patients.
Suffice to say the wheels are in motion to move my relative away from them as quickly as possible, she had until the last five years really felt safe, well looked after and cared for by this practice, she stayed with them out of loyalty and a belief that things would get better. Well it did today, not due to them, due to getting the documents filled in to sign her up to a new practice.
Attached are pictures of what I was faced with when I walked in to see her, the smell was awful, the oozing, seeping, weeping and debris attached appalling, that a doctor had been out recently and was more concerned with taking a stool sample just because she felt a little constipated rather than taking in the smell in the room and engaging with where the real problem was a shining example of the ineptitude of the practice.
These types of things are not because the NHS is crippled by the government it is because it is becoming more of a numbers game with the more patients taken on the more revenue for the practice, with the lack of staff the care is split over more and more patients meaning this happens, far to easily – care is not about profit making for a company it is about care, caring, having the desire to want to help people and the will and support to do it. NOT to make as much money with the least amount of staff and hope the ones falling through the net are not noticed.

I am disappointed with the lack of communication and customer service provided by Haxby Group Scarborough. Despite being directed to contact the clinic online to request an appointment, the online enquiries are currently disabled with no clear explanation provided apart from the service is not available until 7am Tommorow. The receptionist's statement that the clinic has given out enough appointments for the day is not a valid reason for the unavailability of the online contact service. This lack of accessibility is especially problematic for patients with sleeping patterns or mental health issues that make it difficult for them to make phone calls during regular business hours. In addition, I have also experienced difficulty reaching customer service via email and prolonged wait times on phone calls. It is imperative that healthcare providers prioritize timely and efficient communication with their patients. I hope that Haxby Group Scarborough will address these issues and improve their customer service in the future.

Tried to get in contact with Falsgrave about a year ago about some mental health issues, they said they couldn't help, bit if I went privately to sort these issues, they could help under "shared care".
I have recently been put forward for the shared care to go from private to the NHS for the meds I started on. The shared care paperwork was sent to Falsgrave over a week ago, was told to give them a few days for them to get the paperwork, which I did, and they have just got back to me today to say they have finally found the forms, but they won't help with the shared care meds prescriptions.
This isn't the first time i've had problems with Falsgrave Surgery/the haxby group, highly recommended to find dr's who care for their patients, DO NOT USE THE HAXBY GROUP

I am sad to leave after being with the surgery 52 years.
Problems getting through on the phone can be on line up to 45 minutes to get through so make sure you give yourself time then when you do get through and past to the receptionist you are told they have no appointments for 4 weeks and the windows are not open to book.I had other issues and put a letter of complaint over 6 weeks ago and still haven't had any response .one star rating is probably too generous
