Well what can I say! All was going great until my pre-op assessment. As I carry a medic alert card for various allergies and suffer from asthma I was given a antiquated peak flow meter to use for my breathing capacity which was low! It would appear you need to be 100% fit or you cannot have major done at Euxton Hall. I am now back to the beginning of my referral, I should have had operation for Left Total Hip Replacement 14th May at Euxton Hall would have been home today!!
I will have to wait at least 17 weeks to get appointment for an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Good Luck the staff at Euxton are no interested as what happens!

I travel to different hospitals for treatment. I go where my specialist, Mr Mcdowell, goes.
I went in for a procedure today. This was the first time I visited this particular hospital.
It was not what I expected. The hospital was extremely clean. The staff were extremely friendly, respectful, happy and helpful. They even offered tea and coffee (bottomless 😊) I was even given biscuits by the lovely nurses 😋😋.
Thank you for making my short stay a comfortable one

A massive thank you to Mr Hughes, Mr Ali, Deb’s and Uzy and the rest of the team for their care on Wednesday. I was having treatment for a frozen shoulder which has been impacting my daily life since last year. I can now lift my arm above my head and I can’t tell you how amazing this is.

Currently an NHS patient awaiting surgery with the wonderful Mr Bourne. I was referred for pain management after being passed about to physios via my gp being told I had sciatica it would go. 18m on suffering I finally got to see someone who knew what they was talking about yet had never met me before. I can not tell you how relieved I am and very excited that this agonising pain is soon to stop. I can not wait for that letter for my surgery which unfortunately is 4 to 6 months but I am counting down the days , so are my children to getting there fun mum back. If anyone is experiencing back pain please please ask to be referred to here. 18months I have suffered on morphine ,9 mris and one 15 min app with Mr Bourne was like a miracle from God. I've never been so excited to have surgery !!!! The hospital is loverly the atmosphere. The staff are wonderful take there time with you despite being super busy. Will never go anywhere else now. The consultant I saw was very professional.
Different story regarding his secretary and the reception staff!
I received a letter addressing me has a female ,a condition that I haven't got plus a list of medical conditions that didn't apply to me.
On approaching the reception staff they gathered round like a pack of wolves and closed rank stumbling over various reasons for the breach of confidentiality! and typing errors!
Then the consultant rang the receptionist about the letter we received.
She clearly couldn't find our contact details or she seriously needs to go to spec savers!
Eventually we managed to speak to the hospital manager who reasured us that it will be dealt with.
I really hope so,I know what the NHS is like for brushing things under the carpet.
I no longer trust the secretary and the reception staff need serious retraining or sacking.
Absolutely disgraceful 😤

I had an unexpected overnight stay at Euxton Hall, after a foot operation. All the staff were well trained, polite, friendly and caring. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was very nicely presented and tasty.

I would like to pass on my thanks to all the staff at the hospital. I was in for a knee replacement everything from entering the hospital to my discharge was extremely professional and courteous.
