Cancelled my appointment without warning or any notification. No email to cancel it despite the email I had confirming it. Travelled in for it and wasted a journey.

The whole service of GP at Hand has gone downhill so far on the last 5 years. It was outstanding when I joined. Now it is unusable. Best avoided. Go elsewhere.

It’s a shame about the recent reviews, I’ve been an NHS patient with this service for years and it can only be described as the only thing my taxes are good for - a few years back, same day appointments were common but since the pandemic everything has a bit of a delay but I’ve always been able to speak to a clinician at some point about any issue I’ve had.

Today was especially excellent, I had a call booked in the morning and was then sent a link to book a face to face appointment, I was lucky enough to find one available within the hour, I then attended that appointment, saw a very helpful and reassuring GP and was referred to a service. 2 hours later I get a call from the service booking me in for an appointment in 2 weeks time.

I know it’s not always this seamless but I was very impressed

Absolute scam. No way to contact anyone. Online chat is non existent, no telephone number, emails bounce back.
Babylon were a decent service. eMed is an absolute disgrace.
Clearly bought by scammers, you have to ask if you're a customer, where is my data? I'm not so sure it's in the UK any more.
Clearly just a scam.

The GP here misdiagnosed me a month ago - thanks a lot to Dr Addo for wasting my time and taking guesses on skin conditions. I went to a private dermatologist a week later who told me her diagnosis was completely wrong! The Dr at time did no tests and instead it was a rushed 10 minutes of her making guesses. This is not good at all , I wasted time and money thanks to this place. Now I’m on antibiotics around Christmas time when this could have been sorted in November.

I had an appointment for a stressful exam. I arrived 20min early and checked in. 20min past my appointment time, I asked reception if my clinician was here because I hadn't been called. They said they would get back to me, 30min later they hadn't but were busy planning their lunch order with doctors/nurses.
I'm a freelancer and I refused a job this morning so I wouldn't have to cancel/move my appointment. Takes me 45min to come to this clinic. Massive waste of time, and feeling completely ignored by staff is not great especially when coming for a stressful exam.
I guess all eMed cares about is selling weight loss injections (I counted 4 posters for that alone in the wait room).

Closes significantly earlier than advertised time so couldn’t drop off samples. It surely is not 24h as says here, and shuts way before 20:00 as advertised on GPathand website.

Terrible communication. I cannot reach them. The chat option is not working since last 4 weeks, no answer to my emails and no call back. I am shocked. I need an urgent call with them and there is no way to communicate with them. The only thing that works is the payment option. Go figure!

This service is an absolute joke... I registered a month ago, tried to add my daughter under the account as I thought the service would be easy and quick alternative to my GP. It took them 2 weeks to add her. When they finally added her there was an account duplication so I asked them to remove the second one. Instead they removed mine but not hers which means she's still registered but I have no access and no way to go to a GP for her. She's on repeat medication and it's now the second week that I've been ringing every second day for them to sort this out. I cannot believe how horrible this is. YOU'RE LOCKING PEOPLE OUT OF HEALTHCARE AND IT'S NOT OK

PS 2 months later still waiting for a repeat prescription for my daughter. They got it wrong twice. They’re either understaffed or totally incompetent… save yourself time and don’t bother. The moment I get the prescription I’m out… businesses like that shouldn’t be operating…

Go up
