Had appointment booked, turned up 5 minutes late as we got stuck behind a broken down car in traffic, and the doctor had gone home. I appreciate we shouldn't of been late but at least give us 5 minutes. Receptionist didn't seem bothered. No way to call him or rebook an appointment. Terrible service

September 2021 appointment booked (Sydenham). Dr said a cyst, ultrasound booked. Nothing......

September 2022 attended, Dr suspected blocked submandibular gland. Ultrasound booked. Nothing.

September 2024 car accident, neck swelling.
Different Dr's practice used. Blood tests, MRI, ultrasound biopsy all completed within weeks. Now diagnosed with leukemia....

Avoid this place like the plague !

My partner phoned and booked an appointment in the morning which she was told was at 3pm. I clearly heard the receptionist say this as the phone was on loud speaker. Arrived at 2.50pm only to be told her appointment was 4pm. Had to cancel the appointment due to other commitments. It's hard enough as it is getting a doctors appointment without being told the wrong time

People commenting on this site should realise that Elliott Chappell Health Centre houses THREE different practices: Bridge Group, Sydenham Group & St Andrews, and also has the Community Care Services clinic upstairs.
People should be sure to name the practice/clinic they're referring to when leaving comments, for purposes of clarity.
Personally, I and my family have only ever had dealings with the Bridge Group Practice and the Community Care clinic and none of us has ever had anything to complain about.

just rang, first the in the queue and still had to wait 8 minutes (shock!) receptionist answered said hello, asked if i could make an appointment, a load of clicks on her keyboard, no reply and she puts the phone down! tried calling back but i can’t wait 19th in the queue while at work 😒

I have been sick with my feet for 4 months. I think muscle stretching and inflammation. It is almost impossible to get an appointment. I asked yesterday and I got it this morning at 8am. It was a work day today, but since my leg hurt a lot, I quit my job. Losing 1 day's salary. The receptionist said I don't have an appointment today. I was also on an x-ray last week, I would be curious to see the result. He said it could be up to 3 weeks. But they only call if they see fit. But the X-ray didn't cure it, it still hurts. Why do I pay for insurance? I don't get anything for it! Outrageously pathetic, uncritical patient care. I do not recommend the Sidenham group to anyone. Everyone heal yourself.

literally so bad, went in to try and find something to help with my anxiety and low mental health as a 14 year old girl who needs help badly as i struggle to even get to school daily and all i got told was that im a teenager going through stresses at school and got told theres nothing wrong with me whatsoever and that it will just be hormones etc, my dad even said it was a waste of time. dont understand how this place is still open when i got told im perfectly fine 'she looks like a clever girl she will be fine' is something along the lines i got told. whether i look fine or not i went in for help and came out thinking what a waste of time that was bcs ive got no hrlp at all and everything i got told was useless and things my own dad can tell me. literally worst doctors ever.
