“I had severe pain and visited NHS Eastbourne, first expression of receptionist was not good she was rude and not ready to do anything. After getting appointment I was seen by Dr. Amber. She was incredibly kind, professional, and thorough in her examination. She took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly, making me feel comfortable and reassured. Her care and attention were truly exceptional. I am very grateful for her help and highly recommend her to anyone in need of a compassionate and skilled doctor.

Despite the horrendous pressures and desperate underfunding that our often maligned NHS is under, I cannot thank enough all of the staff at Eastbourne District General Hospital for their kindness, care and professionalism during my recent emergency admittance.
I, for one, am enormously grateful that they are always there for us.
Had I been wearing a hat at the moment, it would most certainly be doffed in their direction.

Today I had another terrible experience with the ambulance staff, One of them told me, 'You’re breathing, you’re fine,' while I was in serious distress. It’s truly shameful and inhumane. I went to the hospital and stayed for a long time, but I noticed many staff and ambulance workers just talking to each other for a long time, ignoring the patients. The staff didn’t seem to pay proper attention to the patients. I really don’t understand how they work like this. Some of the reception staff were also rude and didn’t know how to speak to patients properly. It’s so disappointing.

Very good nursing care but having your elderly mum situated on a bed in a ward corridor is not on. All of her tests are taking so long. An overnight stay has turned into 6 nights while she just waits for a scan

Just back from a day in A&E the only thing letting the place down is organisation, staff walking around calling peoples names and then having to track them down is a total waste of time and a joke in this day and age.

The staff and doctors you can’t fault. The woman who took my blood was brilliant, very supportive and upbeat, when she didn’t have any patients to deal with she was out in the waiting area helping people and even tidying up, obviously not her job but what a star.

The young doctor who saw me was brilliant going above and beyond to put my mind at rest a total credit to the Eastbourne DGH.

Sadly not the first time been in A and E in DGH… Excellent service and best staff. Have only been seated for 2 mins and was called straight in for checks and further assessment (was triaged due to life threatening symptoms) - fastest A and E service received ever.
Doctors and nurses are all professional and sympathetic, fabulous communication skills on comforting and encouraging patient. Had some horrible injection but felt so at ease with everyone encouraging me during the process. Saved my life and provided me a comprehensive future plan.
Apologies I don’t have the best memory especially on names, forgive me if I got any of them wrong/ missed anyone. Shout out to Gina, Gareth and Milly, Dr Andrew, Dr Asim, Dr Nicki from Cardio, you are all wonderful people. Much appreciated.

Arrived at 2am and 70 year old mother waiting over an hour for pain meds, then told 5 hour wait to be seen by doctor with only 4 people in the waiting area. Staff walking around looking busy, can't complain as it's deemed aggressive and they will refuse treatment. Do not bring your elderly / poorly relatives here. Place should be shut down. This is not helping people to get better.
