Useless. Phoned to book to have my coil removed and was told to book an appointment with a doctor through online form which i did. Was sent a text to say I need to speak to the pharmacy instead to take the pill - I want to stop contraception as I said on the phone and there was no offer of the appointment i need! No call or way to reply without waiting on hold and starting all over again.

Can’t make appointments by phone anymore - moved to all eConsult. When they do respond to the eConsult asking for information, they do it in a manner where you can’t respond back. They send a text, that you can’t reply to or an email that doesn’t allow replies. In the last 6 months, the three times I’ve tried calling they’ve been closed for staff training. I really need to find a new practice for my family.

Superb practice with excellent GPs. The mix of e-consult and face to face consultations suit my needs well. Operates really well despite difficult circumstances.

They have around 8,000 patients on the books. 27th in the telephone queue last week for an appointment in 3 weeks time. Unfortunately, the NHS is bursting at the seams. East Parade is going to merge with Park Parade which itself has about 8,000 people as well. Efficiency, yes, but at the expense of the personal touch. No wonder our GPs are burning out.

Bitterly disappointed with the practice.
As another review said blame the patient.
After high blood sugar level results were ignored at the practice and only really came to their attention when the hospital rheumatologist wrote to them.
Had no inform from this practice regarding diet, eating plans to reduce sugar. However they do claim I was sent info from another practice in 2018.
Absolute rubbish never received anything of the sort.
Medical secretary cancelled appointment and rearranged at an unsuitable time without any consultation.
Was then told if not suitable to cancel.
I never made the appointment anyway.
Medical secretary consulted with Dr Dilley making me out to be a liar.
Now told I'm in the diabetic range.
First told high blood pressure shortly after within normal range then go for e.c.g.
Not to mention urine test ( conformed ecoli ). Told could be Lupus, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis.
Please take reasons ability for your mistakes do not blame your patients.

We cannot fault East Parade surgery. In the past few weeks my wife and I have had consultations, either by phone or face to face with Dr Drew, Dr Craven and Dr Dilly. Each doctor has been professional, kind and sympathetic to our needs. The reception staff are also very helpful and polite. The whole team works hard to ensure a first class service.

If I could give East Parade surgery zero stars I would. I have had a knee problem for over 2 and a half months. I saw the physiotherapist at the surgery who misdiagnosed my injury as a hamstring injury following a five minute examination and was sent away with one hamstring exercise. My knee deteriorated and I spent a considerable amount of money at a private physiotherapist's who diagnosed it correctly as a knee injury. I contacted East Parade surgery again to notify them of this and was offered another physio appointment but no face to face with a GP. From the time of the misdiagnosis to the consultation with the private physio I have developed secondary issues and now have problems with the other knee, rotator cuff injuries in both shouders and tendonitis in one wrist, all due to overuse. I cannot sleep and I am in constant pain. I requested an emergency appointment regarding this and was sent a text message asking if I wanted pain relief prescribing - but no face to face appointmet with a GP. I have lost 1 and a half stone in weight and my partner is extremely concerned about the weight loss and asked that I request blood tests. I phoned East Parade surgery to request blood tests and was given a telephone appointment with a GP to arrange three weeks away - just to request blood tests. I finally saw a different physio at East Parade and have now been given a 12 week exercise regime for both knees and shoulders. East Parade will not even consider me for any scans until the 12 weeks have been completed. In effect I will have to wait 18 weeks due to the original misdiagnosis. I am in a high risk category and saw my specialist recently who was very alarmed at how I looked, the pain I am experiencing and the fact that I have not seen a GP face to face. She carried out blood tests immediately and on the same day contacted me to say my blood inflammation marker was alarmingly high and I am now slightly anaemic. She has had to intervene and contact East Parade surgery to express her concern. I have spoken to friends and family, all of whom have said they have had no problem getting face to face appointments with their GPs and also access to scans and ultrasound etc. This is primary care at its worst.

First class practice. Unfortunately I've needed to make numerous appointments for family members over the last few months and we have been dealt with extremely efficiently and with great kindness and consideration. I've been with this practice for over 25 years and the variety of valuable services they offer keeps growing. I would recommend them without hesitation.
