Visited on 2 August for a 9am appointment. Arrived early and security guided me on how to check in, but there were issues finding the appointment.

Called nhs to check and they advised that the appointment is there but this specific department doesn’t use online check in.

Then reception started work but didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing, went around in circles a couple of times.

Was eventually seen by the clinician but 15 minutes late. She did give us almost an hour but rushed through the end of the appointment so did not have time to fully translate on site

The nurse in the Dressing Clinic is marvellous and is very expeditious in everything she does, but WHY are there facilities for only ONE person at a time to be treated? This results in unacceptable delays of up to an hour, which is very awkward for those booked on patient transport. East Ham Care Centre needs to completely overhaul this facility so at least two people at a time may be seen. The current set up causes unnecessary anxiety to patients waiting, grief for the staff who have to deal with people asking how much longer the delay is likely to be and this, in turn, leads to wholly unacceptable stress levels for the nursing staff. Further, the arrangement harks back to the 1960’s, where patients were expected to spend their morning or afternoon just waiting for appointments which simply don’t exist! An arrangement which appears to be endorsed by the Care Centre Management! The clinic needs to be in an area where at least 2 patients can be treated. This would require employing 3 nurses in order to run the clinic efficiently. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility - the facilities ARE there! Alternatively, the clinic should start earlier and finish later, which again would mean employing another nurse. If a clinic cannot be run efficiently and effectively due to lack of staff resources, then line management need to do their job and put matters right! Meanwhile, patients have to take a chance on their appointment being within a reasonable time and clinic staff doing a Sterling job under unnecessary duress!

Awful place. Most of the staff are rude or just don't take any notice of what patients or their relatives are saying. I have a relative there at the moment and have been having talks with my Solicitor regarding taking legal action against the hospitals as well as the Consultant who is supposed to be caring for my Husband. Yes, the place is clean but a patient's health is more important than whether they clean the floors etc.!

This ward is a very clean and tidy hospital ward.
The staff do an amazing job dealing with palliative care for the people who are admitted.
I was very impressed with the care and attention that they are giving my friend.
I cannot speak any higher of these amazing human beings, who do amazing work in what is probably one of the hardest things to, dealing with patients that are there for end of live care.
If I could give you a 100 stars it would not be enough for the tenderness and professional way you go about your work.
You have my gratitude always.

CARELESS/RUDE/AGGRESSIVE
Yes this is what actually I experienced here. First of all no response, you will die calling and to get to the right department. The dressing women from Nigeria named (Brane) was so rude, literally screaming and shouting at me when I called to rebook my appointment to remove my stitches. I have to end call saying I will remove my stitches myself instead of getting disrespected. I know this review will not make any difference but still it may help others some how.

It is a care facility for the older people either with physical ailments or psychological/psychiatric issues.
This facility is either for mid term or long-term stay.
