We visit regularly as a friend is now a resident here. Given that the nature of the residents - it is primarily a home for people with dementia - can be very challenging, the staff seem to do an excellent job and are very patient and caring - certainly far more than the average person could hope to be in the circumstances. I can't imagine that any home like this will ever be a 'welcoming' place to visit, because of the nature of the residents' problems but we always feel relatively at ease there and that our friend is well cared for. Prices are reasonable. The rooms are small but comfortable. Cleanliness is good, the menus look very good - we have seen the lunches there and they look very appetising. There is a nice outdoor space for good weather and there seem to be regular activities. There certainly could be more 'quiet' space for residents to use but I guess they may be constrained by building regulations and cash. For that reason, four stars only, as there is always room for improvement.
