I had the worst experience ever at High Field Surgery while trying to book a GP appointment. I had been calling for a whole week, only to be told every time that no appointments were available and to try again the next morning at 8 AM. When I did call at 8 AM, I was kept waiting in a long queue, only to be told—yet again—that there were no appointments left. After several frustrating attempts, I finally managed to get an appointment. However, on the day of my visit, I arrived just 5 minutes late due to a long wait for a cab. The receptionist, a lady wearing glasses, was extremely rude and refused to arrange any alternative. I understand that punctuality is important, but considering the difficulty in even getting an appointment, a little understanding and professionalism from staff would have been appreciated. Is this really how they treat patients? The whole system is inefficient, and the staff’s attitude makes the experience even worse. Very disappointed and would not recommend this surgery!

This is undoubtedly one of the best general practices in Leicestershire. I have been registered at this GP surgery for the past three years, and the GP partners, Dr. Rajiv Wadhwa and Dr. Preeti Wadhwa, have consistently provided exceptional care. They are highly professional, approachable, and always attentive to patients’ needs, delivering accurate diagnoses and effective treatments promptly. I previously had consultations with Dr. Mansingh, who has now retired. His clinical expertise and treatment decisions were always precise and of the highest standard, reflecting true NHS values. The reception staff are equally commendable, demonstrating outstanding customer service. They are always helpful, friendly, and go above and beyond to assist patients, embodying the compassionate spirit of the NHS. Overall, this general practice offers top-quality healthcare, making it a trusted and reliable choice for anyone in Leicestershire.

I have had a very disappointing experience with this GP practice. The staff, particularly at the reception, exhibit a lack of professionalism and courtesy, often failing to communicate effectively or with the necessary politeness. Furthermore, I was disheartened by the lack of empathy and understanding displayed by the doctors. One female doctor even suggested applying Vaseline to dry and acne-prone skin, which seemed like an impractical and misguided recommendation. Additionally, I was charged £75 for a written letter, which provided no benefit and did not assist me in seeking legal support for a personal matter. It’s clear that there is a need for better training and development in both medical advice and patient interaction within this practice.

This is the best GP surgery in Leicestershire, especially for managing diabetes. The GP partners, Dr. Rajiv Wadhwa and Dr. Preeti Wadhwa, are both incredibly caring and compassionate towards their patients. They provide excellent medical care and always ensure that patients feel supported. The staff are also very helpful and treat patients with kindness and professionalism. While getting a same-day appointment can be challenging during the winter months, pre-bookable appointments are available, allowing you to schedule a visit at your convenience. If a same-day appointment is unavailable, the staff are accommodating and will add your name to the cancellation list, often calling if a slot becomes available. Overall, my experience has been outstanding in terms of care, compassion, and service. I highly recommend this surgery to anyone looking for dedicated and professional healthcare. I will update my review as I continue my journey with them.

The receptionists are not fit to run a surgery. They should be into boxing or mma as they are always so combative. They lack communication skills and are very rude at the slightest question you ask about anything. If CQC did their job well, this surgery would have been shut down ages ago. As someone said, the doctors are very good once you get past the front desk hyenas.

Moved from London and wanted to join Highfield surgery because it’s near my new house. They made me wait outside the door nearly 30 minutes in cold day. I don’t know either they still opened the door or not….. very slow and bad service. Never again….

Gp was so bad I was been there before 2day coz of my friend having fever and vomiting they wasn’t even check and told her she have flu and she need to take 8 paracetamol in a day .but in next 2 her condition was worse and we taken her to Royal they check her did her blood taste and says she’s having infection….so disappointed

This surgery honestly should not even receive a one. I called them to book a appointment and a women responded to call at 2pm She was also rude when I said can i ask you a question. There customer service is poor They don’t know how to treat people And they don’t care about what pain people have been going through. Overall your better of finding a surgery app which has good review unlike these people who have a one star rating They also lack the skills of treating people with respect.
