I have recently had a Liver transplant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Prior to this, I was on the waiting list for over 4years. During this time, my health was deteriorating slowly so had a significant number of appointments at the Gwalchmai surgery where I have been a patient for over 30 years.
After my first appointment with Dr Mawlood, I knew from that day that any future appointments I needed, it would have to be with Dr Mawlood.
When people say that they hate going to the doctors, I can’t imagine how anyone could feel like that after an appointment with Dr Mawlood.
Getting back to me, the minute I was to sit down in his room I immediately felt calm. From then on his care and concern stood out far more than any other experience I have had with other doctors. Suffice to say, every time I made an appointment in the surgery, I always asked for Dr Mawlood.
It was so nice to be gongratulated by Dr Mawlood after having my transplant and he went out of his way to sort all of my new medication for my new repeat prescription. I can’t thank this special individual enough for his care , concern and efforts for keeping me safe during my ordeal since being added to the transplant list.

I have been with this practice for YEARS. I am extremely satisfied. I can't understand the bad press! Dr Mawlood and Dr Keatinge are both highly regarded within the community as excellent GPs. They are always kind, compassionate and empathetic. I am grateful that my Doctor will go above and beyond for his patients. If your appointment is a little late, hang tight, it is because they are thorough and refuse to rush patients through like they are on a conveyer belt!

My family and I have been patients of the Gwalchmai practice for many years. It is so easy to take the excellent care we always get for granted. We never think to let Dr Mawlood and Dr Keatinge know how much they are valued .
We are never rushed in and out on a time limit and I never mind if my appointment is late as I know someone else is getting the excellent care that I do .
We feel truely blessed for the outstanding care we always recieve and only wish other practices were as fortunate as ours .

Seen Both doctors on different ocasions both exelent Seen Dr Maloid today was absolutly brill we are very lukey with the servis that we are reciving at the Gwalchmai Surgery

Went in for a bloodtest, I wasn't seen for 30 mins. I was booked in with Dr keatinge but I wasn't seen for ages so the female Dr who comes in from the hospital squeezed me in. She couldn't find a vain so tried back of my hand. It hurt a lot and no blood, she tried my left arm, it still hurt and still no blood. I had a small panic attack and felt like I was going to pass out. She took me to see Dr keatinge who tried, he wasn't prepared to take my bloods, he was rushing around trying to get things sorted. He looked unprofessional in a large coat and boots, looked like he was on his way out or just visiting. He tried in my right arm and it hurt , he went deeper which hurt more and I yelled. Still no bloods had been taken. I left the drs with no bloods taken, left really upset and uncomfortable. Will definitely be changing doctors after this! Useless. Not caring or considerate of patients. Unprofessional and they don't seem to know what they are doing either.

Worst doctors I’ve ever been to!moved here in November I’ve been on pain killers for my back and legs for 12 years I see doctor well I was sat in reception nearly n hour 🤯🤬then the doctor came out! I mean well he feathered a farmer I thought he was a farmer the way he was dressed and very stuck up n rude! I’m changing my doctors
