I requested a private blood test from the Dorset Private GP, Poundbury, Dorchester.

The process was straight forward, with prompt communication via email, I was offered an appointment quickly and the price was very competitive. Their communication was great, timely and in depth.

I requested an uncommon blood test, so they even communicated with the lab prior to confirmation to ensure all details and procedures were followed correctly before agreeing to complete the test.

The premises was easy to find with Google maps and street view, however finding how to get in was a bit more difficult, there was no clear signage (it is Poundbury so I'm aware there are many restrictions on door colours and signage).

The front corner of the building looks very much like an entrance, however it is closed and directed you to the rear. There are several doors around the building, all black. The entrance is actually located at the rear in the car park, the door set in the 90° corner, only a very small brass sign indicates it is the entrance. (a suggestion would be to potentially display a picture of the rear entrance door with a basic diagram showing where it is on the front door).

My only concern about the premises are in the rear car park, there are alot of tree roots growing through the tarmac, I almost tripped. This could be dangerous for those with mobility issues.

The inside is bright, open and airy with tall ceilings. The receptionist was very friendly, chatty and helpful. As was the Dr. I would definitely use their services again.

They forgot to tell me that it would cost me an extra £30 as they had to centrifuge my blood samples on site, but they only charged me what they quoted. Great Ethics.

Thank you for a great service. I fully recommed their services. I came to use their services as I was going to request an online blood test. (Dorset Private GP also complete blood draws for these other online services for a very reasonable fee). Their pricing and availability was very competitive so the personal touch won out.

I chose to visit Poundbury Private GP, specifically Dr Mehrdad Bordbar as he holds an Acupuncture clinic there each week.
After suffering near daily headaches for close to 20 years, my own GP recommended him to me as nothing else seemed to relieve my suffering.
Dr Bordbar is a polite and empathetic GP and spent time with me understanding my issues and degree of suffering. He concluded that acupuncture was absolutely worth considering. So I went ahead with my first mild session in his clinic and pleasant surroundings.
That was the start of near instant relief for me. Dr Bordbar asked me to note down when I had headaches and their intensity (they are NOT Migraines). I went 4 days without any headaches at all. After my second and third slightly more involved sessions I was going at least a week or two without any signs of a headache, which literally changed my life. I feel so happy with the relief and for taking those first steps. I am now seven months in and have been headache free for weeks on end, thus my appointments are now on a 3 monthly basis, with the option to go back at anytime if headaches start to occur on a regular basis.
I would absolutely recommend Dr Bordbar's acupuncture clinic as he is also a practicing GP and understands the complexity of the issues he is presented with, and certainly this was the case for me.
