I was really nervous to come into my appointment today but the nurse put me at ease and was friendly and kind throughout the entire appointment.

This surgery initially came across as so helpful. For three days I have been trying to get my mum a referral privately. After 3 days we are still no further forward. The GP we saw yesterday was and did try to help, however the referral even after speaking to her was still not done. The surgery told me today they have no admin staff, still waiting for the manager to call me. Not really happy at all

I use to think the Surgery was great, recently, it's impossible to get an appointment, it's impossible to get an E consult on line ( opens at 8am and is full 3 minuets later almost every day, if not instantly full) and the reception team appear dismissive and don't care. I was told, to go to the minor injury unit in Uckfield for a reoccurring infection, despite their webpage saying they dont deal with it. I needed to see or speak to a GP, but the chance of that happening is very slim.

Used this GP practice on five separate occasions across members of my family in a little under a year. Lets clear out the negatives, which in this current post pandemic climate is common place and unfortunately accepted as the norm. Face to Face appointments are difficult to come by, but i have managed to obtain within good time scales where common sense prevails from reception staff that having a symptom that require a physical examination is required, warrants a F2F appt. At times it may be a slight wait to get through on phone, and only had one occasion of being cut off after being in a queue placed at sixteeth after 30mins holding. Its a one off, life happens, we get over it and move on! Postives are the GP and Nurses are excellent with good 'bedside manner' . The thing ive noticed ( ive registered with various practices over the years moving around the country) is COMMUNICATION. the staff are excellent in keeing you up to date with follow ups and referrals and sending information by text. As a patient , this is one the key attributes any healthcare organsination should have. No one likes being left in the dark and have the unnecessary inconvenience of chasing up referrals or results. All in all, so far this is a decent practice.

Please, please get more staff to answer phone calls. It is impossible to get through, and the only solution is to turn up at the practice. Doctors, nurses, and receptionists are all doing a great job and working really hard, but the understaffing impacts on the patient access to GP services.

The doctors and nurses are lovely but they need new receptionists or to train them again.
I’ve called and most of the time been met with a huff and basically told to shut up and not bother getting an appointment.
When ringing for something embarassing or worrying, it’s really not what you need!
I heard one of them say to a guy who was worried about palpitations that that wasn’t an emergency while she laughed at him. They are so rude and unhelpful. They make you feel stupid.
Leave your job if you’re that unhappy!!

Most of the doctors and nurses are lovely and really helpful. The reception staff are rude and unfriendly, not helpful at all. There website states they will take repeat prescription requests over the phone for housebound patients . This is a lie.

Useless is the least i could say. Called with pain in my ear and wanted to be seen by my gp as also suggested by my local chemist because the only thing my chemist would be able to give me is ear wax drops and they are concerned that there might be infection. I called on monday morning and explained everything and all that the so called trained receptionist did is to book me a phone call appointment for wednsday? I really wonder why these people are still employed and live on out taxes. Should be a coice of if a person wants to go for priveate healthcare then no money whould be taken of their salary for these usless gp's. Anyway if a person needs to be seen by a doctor everyone goes to the er even if it is not necessary because of the lack of care given by gp practices. An Dolphins are the worst!
