We booked this venue 2 years in advanced, it was the only one we visited and fell in love with it. The venue speaks for itself it has loads of character and those veiws are stunning! Our day was perfect! Honestly couldn't of gone any better the staff were amazing from start to end, the food was delicious too! We simply had the best wedding day EVER! My only problem is our day went by too quickly!..... it feels more like a dream than reality. We just loved it! ♡

here do we even begin? Our wedding day at Danby Castle Wedding Barns was nothing short of perfection. The venue itself is breathtaking, and every single detail was executed flawlessly.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how incredible everything was—the atmosphere, the stunning setting, and the seamless flow of the day. A huge thank you to Leah and Harry, who were absolute stars. From the morning preparations to the evening celebrations, they orchestrated everything with such care and precision that we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Their attention to detail and calming presence made the day truly unforgettable.

The food was hearty and absolutely delicious. The pies were incredible, and the team serving throughout the night were exceptional. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure the experience was perfect for everyone.

A special thank you to Lauren, who helped us book the venue back in March, and the rest of the incredible team at Danby Castle. Your dedication, passion, and hard work shone through every step of the way, making our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined.

We cannot recommend Danby Castle Wedding Barns enough. If you’re looking for a venue that’s magical, professional, and utterly perfect, this is it.

Wow! I don't know how to put it into words. Danby Castle made it so easy. Before we even visited I knew it was 'the one'. The venue and view speaks for itself, the staff are amazing at what they do and very efficient, nothing is too much trouble, the food was absolutely delicious on the day, and the whole wedding was better than I ever imagined. It really is thanks to the team for just knowing what they're doing! It was smooth, beautiful and we had the most fun day. A special thank you to Ruby who really was on hand whenever a small question popped into my head and she made sure the day was faultless. We absolutely loved our day and would recommend this wedding venue in a heartbeat.

A beautiful venue with very attentive staff. The food is excellent, communication throughout the run up to the wedding was great and it was overall an amazing day. The only slight issues we had were the fact we were told close to the wedding that our wedding coordinator had to be changed to someone different which was a shame as we had built up such a good rapport with our previous coordinator but I understand these things happen. We also created playlists for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast and songs kept playing that were not on my playlist but eventually got sorted. So only small issues! Everything else was perfect.

The facility it's self is great the staff let it down a bit. Bar staff etc were good the management team weren't very organized.

Attended a wedding and there was a lot of noticeable mistakes.

If they were sorted this would be a 5 star venue.

We got married at Danby Castle just over a week ago and we had such an incredible day.

Despite a couple of small hiccups with 2 of the old wedding co-ordinators around communication and what was offered to us, when Leah took over everything ran smoothly. Leah was always on hand to make sure our day ran smoothly.

The venue is incredible, we were bless with lovely weather for our games, ice cream van and singer but I could imagine it could be quite difficult if there weather goes the other way. We were also blessed to be able to have our first dance in the ruins which was so magical and special! If you are getting married in the summer and the weather allows, I would 100% recommend this.

Danby has the most amazing natural backdrops for photos and really allowed our guests to unwind. The food was incredible, the portion sizes were great and our guests were all very happy!! We also opted for the Fish and Chip van at night and again, it was insane!! Top Notch!!

The only negative is not having accommodation on site which was promised to us at the time of booking but we booked Guisborough Hall for our wedding party which was only 20 minutes away and allowed most of the guests to stay together.

If you are looking for a stunning venue with incredible views where your guests can unwind then Danby is your venue!! ? Massive thank you to Leah again! Highly recommend.

We got married at Danby Castle in June this year and it was the most magical day. Still feels like a dream! The gorgeous historical venue is very relaxed and has stunning views, delicious food and very helpful staff. Leah our co-ordinator was very helpful in the lead up to and on the day. We organised our wedding from Australia and Leah accommodated all our requests and the time difference difficulties. We loved having the option of having an inside ceremony in the beautiful court room and enjoying drinks and canapes in the sun on the lawn after. All our guests, especially the kids, had a wonderful day.
