We had our wedding at the Cullen Bay Hotel in November last year and we just needed to say thank you to them for making the day so special. From the first time we visited the venue we felt like Rena really cared about what we wanted and making sure our day was perfect, and that continued until the day itself. Everyone who attended the wedding couldn't get over how perfect it was and nothing was too big an ask. All the staff were friendly and accommodating and the venue and location itself was absolutely breath taking with views of the ceremony overlooking the sea. Definitely consider the Cullen Bay if you're looking for a venue for your wedding. Ours still felt intimate and friendly even though we had 120 evening guests, the food was amazing and the day was perfect. Special thanks to Rena, Gail and Marion but honestly, every staff member there contributed to making our wedding everything we hoped it would be.

The wife and I had Christmas dinner here today and the food was absolutely perfect. All the food was cooked to perfection the roast potatoes were to die for , I had the tattie soup starter 😍. The service was brilliant, the dining area was cozy very clean and decorated for Christmas which made the hole evening really nice. The dinner really was nice one of the best Christmas dinners I have had out in years. We eat out a far bit over the year. We had Christmas dinner down the road two nights ago at another place we eat at from time to time and I must say the food was a lot better here. I will make this place my go to place in Cullen from now on. We do eat at the 3 main restaurant in Cullen and all are very very good but the food and service we got here just tops the others for me. Merry Christmas to all the staff at the Cullen

Three night stay at the Cullen Bay hotel. We and our two dogs were made very welcome. Our room was cosy and comfortable, had a good sleep each night. Ate in on two of the evenings and the meals (Blade of beef/Haddock Mornay/Fish Pie/Chicken were all very tasty and delicious. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were kind and obliging. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.

I visited the Cullen Bay Hotel yesterday for dinner from their Christmas Menu. I have to say it was the best Christmas meal I have ever had. We had the roast turkey and blade of beef. Both meats were melt in the mouth, the roast and mash potatoes were hugely tasty, the variety of vegetables were cooked to perfection and there was lots of delicious accompaniments. Along with this we had prawn cocktail for starter and baked alaska for dessert....both stunning.
The hotel was very nicely decorated for Christmas and there was a good selection of Christmas music playing.
The staff were very friendly and courteous.
If you haven't had a Christmas meal yet be sure to head to the Cullen Bay Hotel. Their usual menu looked very extensive too and I'm sure would be just as delicious.

Really nice hotel just outside Cullen but a very easy walk to Cullen. Our room was really clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable and had a good size bathroom with shower over the bath. We planned to eat in the restaurant on the first night and maybe look somewhere else for the second night. However the food was so delicious we decided to eat here the following night too!! Breakfast was also really lovely, all piping hot and obviously cooked to order. All staff were really nice and very attentive. We really enjoyed our two nights away here. Felt like we had a nice break. Only minor down side was that the bar was a bit lacking atmosphere in the evening and maybe would benefit from a wee update. But overall we had a fabulous stay and would definitely return in the future. Keep up the good work !

Cullen Bay Hotel is located just outside the town, well signposted with a big enough sign so you don't miss it. There is plenty of off street parking.|It advertises to have the award winning Cullen Skink, and all I can say to that is that it certainly does, you could smell the smokiness of the Haddock when you first book in at reception and then taste it at evening meal and it is delicious. |The dining rooms have views over Cullen Bay and even on a dull day still looks beautiful. |My room was advertised as having a Country view but as there was no picture of this on the web site I had to take their word for it. However, this was not the case (see photo). Having said that the room itself was clean , tidy and warm with the usual tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was also clean (shower over the bath). The only thing missing from the room was an information pack.|My evening meal was delicious and very filling (yes I did partake in the Cullen Skink experience and it lived up to its famous name)|Breakfast menu had the usual full Scottish choices and it set you up for the day. (the coffee will keep you awake for the week as it was very strong and bitter)

Visited twice in last month, 1st time for lunch, then a Sunday late lunch. The quality of fish is top notch as good as you will have in the area the flavours, cooking, and presentation only add to an excellent meal. Proper home-made chips! As for the slow roast beef, decent cut portion, you will not require a knife for, tastes fabulous. Overall, excellent, well prepared, tastes brilliant. You will not go wrong stopping eating their.

Visiting the North East to see family booked to stay at the Cullen Bay as it was dog friendly and near the sea. We were there for 4 nights. We arrived early evening on Sunday and right for the first minute we loved the place. Staff were so welcoming and friendly to all of us. Couldn’t do enough to help us and make us feel welcome. We stayed in Room 3 which was perfect for us and our two dogs. Spacious room and great bathroom. We had both breakfast and dinner each day and we had our own table in the back of the dining room which gave us a lovely view out to sea, but also kept our dogs away from the other diners. Food was excellent, my wife is gluten free and they catered excellently for her. All in all we had a lovely stay here. I have to say every member of staff was lovely, so helpful, attentive and friendly. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, staff, location, food, environment. We are already planning our next visit in October. Thank you.
