Usually, I'd rather remain silent than give poor reviews but feel it is necessary for patient safety.

Cross Street Health Centre / Limestone Surgery Dudley was my GP's practice from 1998 to 2022. The Doctors that have come and gone in that 24 years were exemplary and my reason for staying. That, however, was the only good point.

Previously, I've been denied access to a nurse or doctor, mid-asthma attack on my way home from school, and made tobwait for a parent to arrive and take me to A&E when all I needed was some oxygen and salbutamol, told I couldn't have a follow up appointment with the GP for reproductive pain because the receptionist deemed one set of test results were "normal". The rest weren't. I've been booked in SEVERAL times as the wrong patient, 50 years my senior. When unable to get an appointment, they refused to provide my medical history for private treatment and in more recent times, refused to see me for surgical complications because I chose to register my newborn somewhere where he's not likely to be killed by clinical negligence, waving me with an open and infected wound.

As someone who works full time, the receptionists will not allow you to book an appointment but are told that you need to "wait by your phone" for 8 hours for a call back. Something not possible to do when working in courtrooms with safeguarding policies requiring mobile phones to be locked away in the staff room during the day.

When this was mentioned, the receptionists was extremely rude and told me to "Just wait by the phone because the doctor is very busy. He won't call you twice"

I cannot fault the doctors, nurses or midwives at all but the receptionists and practice manager have no compassion, understanding or knowledge of medical practices. And it's very evident I'm not the only one to experience it here.

Sad to leave the review but it's necessary.

Everytime I call at quite literally the second the lines open & sit through the 1 minute of talking prior to the call connecting to constantly get the message "I'm sorry this call queue is currently full please try again later". Three illnesses now and each time I've not been able to get through or speak to anyone. I keep getting letters and texts about my cervical smear also being overdue, well answer the phone to people then so you can get seen to?! No point calling any other times other than 8am or 12 noon or they tell you you have to call back at those times, only to get that stupid message of the call queue being full.

Time to move Drs I think!

All gp surgeries are probably being overwhelmed. Limestone Surgery are Cross St, Dudley, is professional and works very hard to keep us all happy.

One star is far too much! I had so many incidents with them, never appointment available for my babies. Last one made me change the surgery. My baby 9 months old with chicken pox. Booked the appointment at 8am, the receptionist said is quite important as he is at risk due to his age but nobody called me all day. My baby had temperature 38,6, calpol didn’t work too much. So I decided to call them again at 5pm and after my call a doctor called me back. He prescribed antihistamines for him. I told her he didn’t slept all night and all day because is itching and I really want the prescription. Guess what? They made a mistake on prescription and the pharmacists told me to go and check with the doctor. But guess what again? The doctor gone and the one who was there was to busy to help me. Thank you for nothing. And there are so many stories. The duty of care doesn’t exist at all. And the receptionist act like they are doctors. And I am a nurse, I inow what i am saying.

Follow up on my last review about 3 years ago. Nothing has changed. I can't get appointment booked at a go.
Called at 10am and was told appointment for 8am to 12pm is gone. I have to call back at 12pm to book for 12pm to 6pm. Why cant you book me now?
why do i have to call back at 12pm and by the time i get on the phone and call.back at 12pm, the line gets busy and few minutes later 12pm to 6pm apppintment is gone.
Receptionist not friendly, not helpful. They just want you to get off the phone as quickly as possible without being helpful.

Can't get appointment booked.
Called over 100 times and no one is picking. Reception staffs not friendly on the phone. Dr Wakil is very good, nice and helpful.

0 star if I could, no appointments left after only being open half an hour, being told to call back when I’m at work and not really willing to assist. Avoid like the plague… receptionists sharp speaking and not really interested just there for a pay cheque, not to mention having to sit there on your phone clicking redial to actually get through.. complete and utter joke of a doctors surgery

I've always received great service from this surgery. Given the demands on the NHS right now I feel blessed to be able to access healthcare in the appropriate ways.
Repeat prescriptions done online, sent to pharmacy- time saving!
Non urgent enquires can be logged online and GP calls back within 48 (working) hours- great hassel free way to access non urgent care
Urgent care- Calling at 8am is always a pain BUT each time I have called for help the receptionists have always tried their best to accommodate our needs.

I don’t want to place a negative review but this surgery just won’t learn with their reception staff, one simple click of a button to send my husbands prescription and they make you go in to the surgery, makes no sense. I have spoken to the staff before about this and they just will not help.
The length of the recording when you call is that long you can take a nap in between, the way they make it clear they won’t tolerate aggressive behaviour but they think it’s acceptable to be abrupt on the phone. Well maybe joe bloggs won’t accept abruptness from drs receptions.
Drs you need to find warm and welcoming staff who will go that extra mile.
