I would just like to say how lovely Michelle on the reception telephone was this morning. Such a calm and helpful telephone manner and assisted brilliantly with what can be quite anxiety inducing conversation usually. A credit to Croft hall and a pleasure to speak with

They have it down to an art, fobbing you off. Missed several health assessment updates because they didn't update phone number for 5 months and didn't bother to email me to enquire why I hadn't responded to multiple attempts from them to ring me. Medication stopped without any consultation.

Avoid this practice if possible as they are a hazard not a help due to their claiming its a new system to juggle numbers to qualify for funding and stats. Appalling!

I find this durgery most shocking. I have c.o.p.d and everyday rang for call back. Wk later got to see Dr who told me I shouldn't of left it so long. Book appoint with nurse11/02/25 could not sort medication till spoke to Dr. Got a call... but from receptionist saying my call back will be 7th/03/25. Shocking struggle with getting right inhalers etc. My daughter is with Paignton surgery and never has single problem even on the day to get appointment for her or children. Also dropped 3 samples off but only 2 results came back. 3rd went missing. Its a shambles down there. But trying to get new surgery is like finding N.H.S dentist. They need shake up. I sat in empty waiting room almost every time been there. So un helpful and alot very rude. Someone needs to shake it up.

I have been with this surgery for nearly 10 years. My long-term medical conditions need explaining each time I manage to actually get an appointment with a gp.
The only positive outcome I have had from this surgery have come from trainee Drs or locums.
Given misguided information of how to request an appointment.
Medication reviews completed by pharmacists and without notice.
Extremely disappointed for too many years.
Is this the surgery or the state of the NHS?

You may want to save time and look elsewhere for a Medical Centre that has staff that are helpful and a Practice Manager that is in attendance!

I had an eye injury (fell over on ice) and went to this practice to have the open wound looked at by a doctor or nurse (either would have been good). However, the young male receptionist told me there was no one available all day to assist! I was shocked at his cold, heartless demeanour and short reply and so asked him are you sure to which he confirmed no appointments. He could see I had an injury that needed attention. I angrily asked that someone be made available as I just wanted someone to quickly check it over but the male receptionist was more concerned about his feelings and asked me not to raise my voice!!

Note: I had dressed the cut eye myself with microporous tape, but it really needed a health professional to clean it correctly and apply sterile steri-strips. Torbay A&E had a 2.5 hour wait time according to the internet!

I insisted that I see someone and, just like magic, an Agency Nurse Practitioner (from Wellington, Somerset! - temporarily working there due to a shortage of staff) appeared! She was very sympathetic and helpful. She cleaned the wound within a few minutes, then spent the next 10 minutes searching for Steri-Strips; returning with none as there were none to be found in the entire building - REALLY?! Who on earth is in charge

Croft Hall Medical Practice is a very large building, probably costing a fortune to stay open, it is poorly managed (have heard of similar experiences of nonchalant staff). I believe it could be filled with other Drs and Staff from other NHS practices, or better still, shut it and save Tax Payer’s money.

I shall be writing to my MP as this practice (or lack of) is totally unacceptable.
It was very disappointing to see this huge old building empty, using Agency Staff at probably 3 times the cost!
GET A GRIP NHS - CLOSE THIS PLACE AND MOVE THE STAFF TO A BUILDING WITH A SUPERVISOR THAT CAN DO THE JOB!

They persistently either threaten to stop my longtime medication or demand that I go there for tests although I have Vertigo AF Osteoarthiritis Tinnitis etc. Perhaps it is because there are no Doctors only locums, and is run by an e company in Leicestershire. The Doctors are locums only. Look at eHarley St on the net.

Nurses are very good. The rest I am sad to say my son died he couldn't get doctors appointment face to face. I complained and had a very difficult time getting through receptionists when I finally got the right person she promised time s when she would get back to me which went over and I had to chase them up. The final report I got a lot of in hind site they should have seen him. And to add insult to injury they got the date of his death wrong.

Waited to get a call back from a GP, was told I would get one in a week ! Meanwhile both arms and backs of hands bleeding from eczema driving me crazy. buying loads of plasters and wound dressings as GP not available and going to A&E not a realistic alternative. Sitting in A&E for 5 to 9 hours in Torbay or 5 hours in Newton Abbott no good either. terrible country these days Thank God not going to live much longer .
