I was worried about an issue I should have dealt with earlier, just before I went on an extended holiday. I asked for an appointment the following day expecting to be told no. I was offered one the same day and one of GPs, who wasn't actually seeing patients that day, saw me.
What can I say? Brilliant! There is a lot discussion about getting GP appts these days but I can only say Court Thorne went beyond my expectation. I'm grateful . Thank you.

The empathy that the admin team show needs urgent review particularly from Sharron who is so cold, rude and uncaring and has at times just wanted rid of the call. I was told I couldn’t be seen for at least 2-3 weeks for an appointment last week but wasn’t advised that I could maybe go to the urgent treatment centre. If you ring in your told to put your enquiry online instead of the person on the other end of the phone helping you god help the older generation. The new appointment system seems somewhat better but an initial telephone call with a Gp might stop some face to face appointments being wasted - some things can be discussed over the phone. The nurse that deals with female issues is also very rude, unwelcoming and unfriendly - in fact she’s scary. Definitely some work needed on customer service from S and the Nurse.

Used to say this was a great surgery but it’s niegh on impossible to get an appointment & some receptionists (not all) make too many mistakes which are then made out to be the patients mistake. Many times I feel belittled. Sadly the surgery has really gone downhill. When I finally do see a GP I’m generally happy with the outcome but all too often there’s so much time wasting.

The new triage is a waste of time.
The receptionist couldn't even tell me if a doctor would be in touch that day.
By the time I received a text asking to take a photo of the problem (not a phone call as stated by the receptionist) I had been seen at Penrith drop in centre.

Dr Anderson is in my opinion is an extremely toxic person with a very poor bedside manner. He came to my house as I had a minor complaint and asked me if I’d thought of the BIG C!
Next time he came I wanted to get something done about the nerve damage in both of my feet, and instead of referring me to a consultant for a diagnosis, he said that maybe he should have a word with the DVLA in order to have my driving license revoked. This man should NOT be practicing as a GP.

Been on phone to dr Anderson’s and said he would send prescription to our local Asda for our 4month old child but never sent it after Googling what to give so we went on a 30-40mile drive for something that was not there . Very poor service from what meant to be a head doctor at this surgery. I highly advise to not use this doctor due to the poor service and he tells you that the prescription will be somewhere when it ain’t. One unhappy patient/ parent

Good little surgery with helpful doctors if you are willing to look past the rudeness of some reception/ dispensary staff. Highly lacking in empathy and very abrupt over the phone. Puts you off wanting to visit the practice at times. I’ve had a family member sent away in tears due to the same blunt treatment on the front desk. It’s not the first time I’ve heard of this issue either.

I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PRECENT AND HELPFUL RECEPTION AND GREAT DOCTORS IN THIS PRACTICE ALSO THE PHARMACY ARE AN EXCELLENT ASSET TO THE PRACTICE
