Spent an entire afternoon trying to find out how a family member was after being taken in an ambulance to A&E. I live in Scotland so can't just nip in to A&E.

On another occasion with another ward, when I finally got through, I was told to hold while the nurse in charge comes to the phone. It was in these few minutes on hold when i had to listen to handover. A number of patients, their names and associated medical information was unfortunately clearly heard by me. A serious breach of patient confidentiality. Very concerning.

It seems most wards are reluctant to answer their phones, despite the fact there may be a worried family member trying to reach them.

8.5 hours wait until 5am with a swollen fractured arm. Asked receptionist to help me call a taxi as my app was showing no cars available and battery was running low due to long hours waiting. And because I saw her helping someone else with that. Got a snarky reply “don’t you have a phone?”
Unbelievable, so unkind and unprofessional.

My husband had to present himself here today for an irregular heart beat and extremely high blood pressure ! The hospital was outstanding he was in and out in 3 hours and had extensive tests x7 and medication 💊! Ross was excellent and reassuring a credit to the hospital! Reception was lovely the guard was lovely and I can’t fault it …. The only problem was I had to leave because of the current pandemic but that’s to be expected ! Well done everybody , you ALL made him feel respected and made to feel at ease which is so important! Fantastic ! 👍🏻🚐
