Terrible triage system.
I kept asking for an emergency Dr, was given an appointment with nurse. She was not interested in my insistence that my child had a fever and I had been up all night, she told me to give a special needs 6yr old 'a 60p ibuprofen tablet ' her words. I insisted she gave us liquid medicine, and she relented and gave me antihistamine and neurofen and eyedrops it was only my maturity as that made her do this. Today,24hrs later the child has been to Keynsham emergency and is now on way to ruh admittance to test for kidney failure. The nurse was not interested in checking her health at all and the system of filling in a form as triage is a missuse and gatekeeping of public health.

I'm a type1 diabetic who needs regular medication.
I've been a patient for nearly 3years. Combe down surgery seems to think it is OK to not put my prescription through. like insulin and blood monitors which help keep me alive so I'm left with nothing I don't think it is very professional. The doctors and nurse's are very good and nice but whomever deals with the prescription is not or they don't know how to do their job. It doesn't help with my mental health

Diabolical surgery if I'm totally honest. Doctors are doctors but its really the ability to see or book any appointments, which is near impossible. They are extremely un-organised, never get back to you, never follow up on bloods. Cant even book my sons 1 year jabs, they gave me 1 possible appointment time in the 6 weeks their system allows up to, we couldn't make that 1 appointment as we are away, so their answer is "call again next week and try again". This is just 1 of many very bad experiences my family have had, hence this review. My honest advice is to steer well clear of this surgery if you can. They need to find a better system to filter or open a further surgery to accommodate the number of residents.

All the doctors I’ve seen in Combedown have taken me very seriously, examined and resolved my health issues. I can’t complain at all for this surgery. Brilliant staff and excellent services. Small issue with booking appointments lately but I believe it’s a National issue .

Today I have seen Dr. Sophie Stevens and I just felt that I am going to see a friend, even I feel very anxious when I have to see doctors Mrs Sophie make me feel so confident and she has gave me options regarding my health issues .I cannot describe how lucky we all are having doctors like that . Once again another great consultation, this time with the practice nurse Liz Holmes. She was lovely, put me at ease and listened to me. This is why I cannot fault this practice as I have never once had a bad experience. I highly recommend to anybody wondering which surgery to sign up to, personally I couldn't go anywhere else.
