I was really not looking forward to going here after being sent by 111 due to the reviews.
However my first appointment yes I did get antibiotics for an abscess but was booked in for the following week to have the tooth removed.
I went today and had this procedure done, yes it is all a bit rushed but I was cared for and that was the main so I was happy with the service I received.

I visited today from Filey to have a tooth removed.
The staff were very friendly.
The dentist explained everything about the process.
I am an anxious person where dentist are concerned, but they made me feel less anxious & the tooth was removed swiftly.

I was referred here via the NHS 111 service. I can’t fault the speed at which I received the appointment, nor the reception team at all, they were polite and understanding through the full process.

However, alarm bells started ringing as I entered the practice and waited for my appointment and I noticed patients before me being churned out in a matter of 1 or 2 minutes.

My whole appointment was extremely rushed and I felt that I was not at all listened to by the dentist. I felt he was quite rude and dismissive of me as I was trying to explain my symptoms. I was palmed off with antibiotics, despite me telling the dentist I felt like the tooth needed filling/taking out. I was then told that the only thing they could do was extract it which would be an 8-10 week wait despite me saying I’m at the point now where I can’t eat because of it.

Both myself, the patient before and the patient after me were all prescribed antibiotics. And, while I don’t know the details of their situations, definitely, in my case it seems that antibiotics were prescribed in lieu of any real treatment options.

It seems they are trying to get people in and as quickly as possible. I left feeling extremely upset as I had not been listened to at all by the dentist and there had been no compassion from them. I have since had to arrange the extraction privately as I am unable to wait 8-10 weeks to get the tooth removed.

It’s very disappointing that this is a practice that the 111 Service chose to use as I feel it is a disservice to those that need an emergency appointment and have little other choice.

Visited this dentist after a 111 call, reception staff lovely, however that’s as far as it goes!! The dentist rushed me in and out gave me antibiotics for an abscess and charged me without any xray for conformation. Said yes think that be ok shoved to small fillings in overall charge was £83.50!!! I came away and the pain got worse and worse!!
I have waited for this review to see if this settled down but no I had to get another appointment whom confirmed no abscess and removed the tooth pain gone instantly and the charge was £26 only so why was I charged £83.50 at this practice!!!

This dentist is not fit for purpose and needs serious investigations I was majorly over charged for nothing but more pain do not use if you get a 111 appointment please ask for another dentist you will not be treated incorrectly.

Last weekend my wife had the misfortune to loose a filling. After we were unable to get an appointment locally we contacted 111 on Monday morning.
111 phoned us back and said that the Clifton Gardens NHS dental practice would advise of an appointment time. On Tuesday they told us the appointment was 11.50pm.
The practice is in Goole we live in Scunthorpe, so over a 60 mile round trip.
We attended the practice, my wife was seen by the dentist and she was assured that the filling would be a proper filling and not a plug.
The whole clinical operation took less than 5 minutes. The cost was £73.50.
We discussed how quickly the dentist took, on the way home, and we were totally amazed.
We arrived home and wife didn't have anything to eat or drink. At 5 o'clock my wife had a glass of water and told me the filling had come out.
This has become a nightmare, the practice has refused to refund the payment. I have complained to 111 about this practice and also contacted our bank.
If you are using this practice, beware. There rating is only 2.4 don't say you wasn't aware of this, in my opinion this practice should be closed down, so that other patients don't go through our experience.

Absolutely terrible, all of the reviews are right, the dentist doesn't deserve his job. I contacted 111 as I am in massive pain with my wisdom teeth and my original dentist just up and left, and all he took was a glance at my teeth, and gave me antibiotics for the pain, which are doing nothing, I haven't even got an infection. Sounds like this dentist is just throwing around antibiotics, wanting you to shut up and cope. The dentist is so ignorant and constantly doesn't let you speak, he wanted to wrap up that appointment as soon as possible, the appointment was only 2 minutes long, he wouldn't listen to me.

It was a complete waste of time travelling from Hull to Goole. He told me that my wisdom teeth were still growing, well the wisdom teeth on my lower jaw are no longer coming out, and feels like they are pushing into my back teeth, but of course he kept talking over me and not letting me voice my concerns.
Also, somehow I'm still too young to have my wisdom teeth removed? I'm 18, I've looked everywhere online to see if it's true and even minors are getting them removed and who are going through the same state as me, even through the NHS.

Soon I'll loose entitlement to free NHS dental treatment, and I'll have to wait years stuck with these teeth because this man can't do his job properly. I have no idea what I can do next.

Seriously I'd give no stars if I could, sack that dentist and rip away his licence.
