I'm afraid I have to agree with most of the reviews here. I've been a patient here since 2011 when the surgery was at two sites. Since 2019, I have been suffering with severe menopause symptoms and chronic pain. I was misdiagnosed as having Polymyalgia and prescribed steroids, which have left me with high blood pressure, cataracts and potentially osteoporosis later. They also made me pre-diabetic.

Five years later, I'm still in pain, not able to work and no doctor has either monitored my steroid use (they just keep prescribing them) or really been concerned about my condition. The last time I went to the surgery because I was in so much pain, I could barely walk across the reception floor and the GP was really brusque with me and said "Look, I've told you, I don't know what's wrong with you". I was completely cut loose. I'm going to start looking for another GP.

My wife saw Luis De-Sousa today.
He was the Finest Medical professional we have seen at Cleevelands nothing is to much trouble.
We went about her Damaged vertebrae he was extremely thorough explained everything in detail and arranged an MRI Scan.
I mentioned my wife had a mole that needs checking he reassured us that it didn’t look Cancerous but if it gets any bigger he would remove it.
I mentioned about a lump on her eyelid he looked at it and said I can deal with that now if you want.
He was brilliant dealt with 3 complaints quick and easy can’t thank him enough.
Now the Down side is that Anima booking system first try it said go straight to AE.
So I tried again to book an appointment but played down the symptoms so it wouldn’t say AE.
It asks so many questions It took 30 mins to book an appointment that would be a week away.
That appointment was telephone that ended up with the lady Dr saying she would book MRI scan and she made a f2f appointment fo2 weeks later with Luis De-Sousa.
That’s who my wife just saw. The Female Dr hadn’t booked the MRI that she said she would
So Louis has done it .

Absolutely rubbish surgery! No one gives a damn. I wish I could leave zero star! Receptionist hung up on me because I simply asked to speak to a doctor since I had booked an appointment for phone call as I’ve been feeling very poorly lately. The doctors didn’t call me at 8am when the appointment was booked and I just had a miscall at 12:30pm which didn’t even ring! They just called and hung up straightaway to just say they have called. Absolutely disgraceful.

Absolutely disgusting. 4 week wait for smear test/change of birth control.
. Then the appointment is a PHONE appointment to discuss it. I told you 4 weeks ago what needed to be done. Why have I now got to wait another 4 weeks. I shall move to somewhere a bit more competent.

Excellent surgery until recently.

They are introducing an online triage system called anima and until it goes live they are accepting no routine GP appointments.

It was due to go live on 23 October 2024 except, of course, they have had unforeseen IT issues. They'll fix them "in due course" - note the absence of a deadline. In the meantime, it's on-the-day appointments only.

I called this morning at 8AM. Busy tone. I gave up after 20 minutes and went to the surgery direct. Reception doesn't open until 9AM so I called again at 8.40AM. 23rd in queue, then an automated message saying that the bookings for the day were full.

How hard can it be?

I recently left this surgery due to attitude of a few doctors - all of the nurses I spoke to were amazing, some of the doctors couldn't care less, I was unfortunate enough to have them a few times in a row and they routinely either didn't listen to me or acted like my complaint wasn't an issue - luckily I've been listened to at my new surgery and things are sorted.

Initial contact was acceptable. I was referred for an ultrasound scan and expected some form of communication from the surgery as a follow up. I waited 4 weeks for a response - nothing. I then contacted the surgergy by phone and could only get a phone conversation with a doctor in another 25 days. Is this the new norm? Am I expecting too much?

This surgery has been fantastic, I’m so pleased we moved to here. The drs and nurses are lovely. The reception team are very polite and friendly. I have always managed to get an appointment when needed. Never kept waiting for ages in the waiting room like my old surgery that used to run an hour behind sometimes!
