Churchmere Medical Practice

My appointment with one of the practice nurses recently was of an excellent standard. Julia was professional, her knowledge was outstanding, she was very understanding, and I was genuinely put at ease.

Eight days ago my father who is 93 had a serious fall and lay on a cold tiled floor for over an hour. He continues to be in a great deal of pain. A paramedic was sent out to see him on Monday. On Tuesday he was phoned by Dr Farr, who told him to take paracetamol. As a result my father and I are now in A&E in Shrewsbury, where we have been for the last six hours.

I have always experienced the highest level of care from the Ellesmere practice. I would be at a significant loss without such wonderfully skilled and patient staff. The 'call back' booking facility is extremely helpful and lessens patient stress. I am grateful ?.

Excellent care. No problem getting appropriate appointment, ie face to face, telephone or even home visit for my elderly mum. Lovely Nurses and Doctors too.

Totally amazing professional conduct from the practice. By explaining to the receptionist why I needed to see a doctor enabled her to help and give the right advice. The receptionist was very polite, very friendly and extremely efficient. I got a call from the doctor who was also more than helpful and had an excellent reassuring manner. I might add this is not my practice but they fitted me in as a temporary patient. So the same excellent service which I get from my own practice at home. Thank you.

My daughter had a sickness bug, and was due to go on a school trip to London. She vomited at school and was sent home. Churchmere refused to write a sickness note to the school trip’s insurance company because she didn’t book an appointment to visit the surgery. Common sense lacking because they wouldn’t write a letter without spreading it around Whitchurch.

Receptionist most unhelpful thought she was God and sorry but not medical trained but this practice seem to use the none medical staff more than themselves trying to get an appointment is ridiculous I've more chance of seeing Lord lucan than a doctor. The doctors attitudes are not good either they try to make you feel they are doing you a favour by by giving you a 5 min phone call. phone calls don't show up everything and I have friends that have had stuff missed by this way of the running of the practice. Sooner or later something serious will happen. Sorry but think their service at times is neglect of patients

Had the best patient care by the surgery today phoned using the newish call back system. Called back within 15 minutes spoke to a really nice corteous helpful receptionist and made an appointment ? thank you
