Not notifying patient in real time about diagnosis and treatment if bed bound the food is not very good and small portions and no allowance made for patients who wish to have food brought in from outside cafes and shops. However the nurses are brilliant considering they are understaffed and work harder to accommodate the patients in doing so in a professional manner.

Outstanding service! Lovely staff, nurses, technicians and doctors. In and out of A&E (with CT scan and results) within 3 hours on a busy evening. I don't think the people who live near and around this hospital know how lucky they are to be in such safe hands. Thank you NHS!!! 🤩

Daughter is in avenham ward and she is being well looked after by staff. Cannot fault the nurses for there dedication and hard work they do. Best hospital daughter has been in .such lovely staff . And would like to thank Nina for putting me at ease xxxx

I visited the walk in Xray department today thinking I would be there some time - how pleasantly surprised I was - in and out in 27 minutes - didn't have to pay on the car park.
Also all the staff were very friendly and very efficient. We'll done Chorley Hospital X Ray

Came here as was involved in a car accident, stationary at the traffic lights waiting for the red light and out of nowhere a car from behind had hit us forcefully. I had another person in the car with me and i took her to Chorley A+ E, waiting for several hours to be told they wouldn't give me a X ray, doctor asked me where i had pain i said everywhere. He made a joke and said 'I'm just greedy' i thought as if i want to have all this pain!!
Making me feel like I'm coming to the hospital for the sake of it. He dropped a piece of paper on the floor and joked 'see i have pulled my back now' it's really no joke being involved in a car accident and to joke about something like is not acceptable.
I felt really uncomfortable to confront him as he is the professional and your coming to see him for help and he wasn't being professional, caring or helpful at all!!
And i really had to push for painkillers, was in so much pain from the accident.
I remember just bursting into tears in the waiting room sitting there in so much pain and the shock of it. A lovely lady in the waiting room gave me several tissues as she could she i was upset. I had to nip outside a few times to makes several phone calls, sat on of those wooden stomps outside really uncomfortable sitting on those after being involved in a car accident. And all i kept hearing were loud horns beeping it was two ambulances side by side messing about and they kept honking the horn to each and it was making me jump several times. They were just messing about laughing and on their phones, they really are not professional people at all. I had alot of respect for people in NHS as my family members are in the NHS but these people i saw during my visit here really disappointed me. I really hope i don't need to come back to this hospital ever again. And hope that the Doctor i saw is never involved in a car accident as he will know how the pain truly feels and he won't be making any jokes about it that's for sure

I recently had surgery to remove a tumour and I was fortunate enough to get surgery done in Chorley hospital, the staff were fantastic, friendly, professional and very sympathetic, the ward was spotless and had a fresh, airy atmosphere, I had a general anaesthetic , which was my first time ever, all the nurses and doctors explained everything that was going to happen and put me at ease, I can recommend this hospital 100%,

I was happy with nurse on ai but doctor forced on me tablets. I don't wanted any but he was persuading me. Now i have 30 pound bill and i haven't eaten any tablets at home😡 He should refund me now! Cant believe unopened tablets cannot be returned for refund. National big pharma scam.

Ist class made to feel welcome frendly and efficient. Exalent medical treatment setting up cannula. Iron infusion set up no problem. Thank you all staff.
