My wife first saw Mr Aylott about back pain a year ago but delayed the recommended treatment to have an unrelated minor NHS operation for which she had been waiting for some time. This minor op became a major procedure and resulted in her spending much of the last year in and out of hospital. Her back pain has continued and she has now returned to the Clinic for a review. Mr Aylott saw her immediately and has arranged for investigative MRI and X-ray to be carried out within a week. We could not be happier with the way my wife’s problems have been dealt with and the urgency given to finding a solution. I would have no hesitation in recommending his care.

Excellent care throughout my appointment.
Detailed discussion of my issues followed by both an MRI scan and X-ray . All followed on seamlessly. A further detailed review with Mr Aylott followed then another session was arranged to continue the investigation. I am confident that I will get the help that I need.

After suffering intense and restricting sciatic pain for several months, which had severely restricted my mobility I contacted the Cheltenham Clinic. I had already had an MRI scan and unsuccessful cortisone injection arranged by another private provider in which I had lost all confidence because of their impersonal attitude.
From my first contact with the Cheltenham Spine Clinic and my first consultation with Mr Aylott I felt reassured by the helpful and understanding attitude of everyone concerned (in marked contrast with my negative experience of the other provider).
Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy at the Harley Street Clinic and 6 weeks later I am fully ambulant once more, pain free and well on the way back to the fitness level of previously. Today, at 81 years of age I am walking 2 -3 miles at a time and look forward to increasing that in the coming months.
At all stages of my consultation and treatment by Mr Aylott and his team, I felt fully informed about the nature of my condition, the proposed treatment and likely outcomes. His secretarial/admin staff could not have been more helpful in organising the required tests and screening prior to my surgery. I am wholly satisfied with every aspect of my contact with the Clinic.

One year on.
One year ago Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy on me at the Harley Street Clinic. I am delighted to report that I am now back to the sort of fitness level I was experiencing before I developed the back problem that he treated so successfully. I am approaching 83 years of age and am now able to walk the sort of distance (5 - 7 miles) regularly as previously. As Mr Aylott predicted it has taken me the best part of a year for me to get back this level of fitness. I am now living again the full lifestyle I enjoyed in the past.

I would therefore like to thank him again for giving me the confidence in the first place to have the surgery and for the care and attention I received from him and all his support team, both at Harley Street and at Cheltenham.

I am so grateful to Dr Aylott for this life-changing surgery; the experience from the moment I booked my consultancy was excellent. Within one month, I had a microdiscectomy; I could free the difference as soon as I walked out of the hospital the same day. It took a while to heal, but I haven't taken a painkiller for my back now for two months. After 10 years of suffering, all I can say is I wish I'd gone sooner! Thank you.

My experience with Mr Aylott was fantastic. For years I’ve been going to my doctors knowing something was wrong with my spine and just getting sent away with drugs and told to stretch.
I saw Mr Aylott and in the same day he had me scanned and found the problem, he gave me the perfect course of action and now I know how to fix it. Without his one stop spine clinic i would have been guessing for the rest of my life and who knows how bad things would have become.

Highly recommend, you get what you pay for.

After many years of suffering from low level chronic lower back pain, which no longer responded to conservative measures. I sort a consultation with Mr Aylott. After much consideration it was determined that my symptoms were as a result of collapsed discs.
At S1-L5 and L5- L4, resulting a lack of stability in my back and the resulting pain, mid-body stiffness and frequent lower back spasms in response to twisting forces.
It was determined that the best treatment option was to have spinal stabilisation with the implanting of a Coflex titanium wedge between Disc S1-L5.
Only a few days after the operation, all of the symptoms had subsided and after 3 weeks had gone completely. No stiffness, no pain when going from sitting to standing, posture and stride when walking had improved and for the first time in a long time I feel I am standing fully upright….Such a joy to be pain free.
I can’t thank Mr Aylott and his team enough for their skill and support and guidance through this process and of course the excellent outcome.

Attention and treatment exceptional. Mr Casper Aylott very understanding and approachable and very attentive to my lower back problems. The diagnosis was incredibly accurate having had x-rays, MRI and SPECT scan. Subsequent treatment very beneficial. All members of staff without exception were very caring and helpful.

This was the second operation performed on my spine by Mr Aylot and on both occasions I have been delighted with the results.
After both operations I was immediately able to walk freely and the pain disappeared almost immediately. I would certainly recommend anyone to go to him for a consultation as he is completely open about surgery being a last option .
He offers a one stop shop at his office in Cheltenham which consists of an X-ray, MRI and consultation.
