A beautiful Grade 1 manor in a beautiful setting. Our room in the main Manor House was splendid. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. A good location for Oxfordshire. Very peaceful and charming. Clean and well set out. Continental breakfast was lovely too. Well recommend

Relaxed non-commercial vibe in an old manor house with gardens, owned by the Quaker Movement. Good room; clean & comfortable if slightly dated. Great value for money which included a continental breakfast, limited in choice but not quality. Definitely re-bookable!

On checking in after a long day driving, I asked what time the restaurant closed and was informed there were no on site facilities. Only continental breakfast was available.|The room was upstairs in an out building smelt damp and foisty as did the corridor. The room had a 6ft single bed pushed against two walls, not facing the tiny tv. The furniture was cheap and tacky and the bed was so uncomfortable, certainly past its sell by date and squeaked every time you moved. The window was the original metal frame which I understand due to listing regulations but no secondary glazing. |The bathroom what a joke, small, smelly, dated with the the obligatory brown stain in the toilet basin. I don’t think the taps come under listing regs, please change them? Forget having a shower if you’re not a child as you will touch each wall simultaneously and the yellow controllers were off putting.|Saving the best for last the stench in the bathroom and bedroom is unbearable when you flush the toilet.|I can honestly say I did not sleep and felt totally miserable after a truly awful experience and then having a 6 hour trip home, which was very dangerous. |I wouldn’t wish my room and stay on my worst enemy.

Lovely location. Room was good very comfortable. Only fault was the Wi Fi rubbish quite frustrating for Business people having to work|Would be beneficial if they sold some light snacks not just drinks as no restaurant in the evenings. Overall stay great

Really noisy, very thin walls, neighbours coming in late, thumping and shouting. My 'private bathroom' is an uninviting box down the hall, not, as I expected, in my room. No double glazing, would be cold in winter, but doubly glad I brought earplugs as I had to open the windows to make the room less stuffy. Tiny room, useless pillows, again, glad I brought my own. Wish I'd paid half the price and got a nice big ensuite at a generic chain, at least the bed would have been good and the room quiet.

I undertook a retreat type thing at this Manor House. The rooms are quirky if you like that kind of thing. However, the food was absolutely awful!! Poorly thought out and poorly made. Tasteless and watery. The breakfast is exactly the same which is tedious for a 7 day stay. I had dietary requirements and they catered to them poorly. I woukd never stay here again. !!!!

The beauty of this historic building and its gardens, the excellent comfortable accommodation and facilities, the amazingly varied and imaginative food (all vegetarian in this case), and the attention given by the staff to our every need, were outstanding. We would thoroughly recommend it to organisers of this kind of event. |The only negative – a very poor mobile phone signal.

We hired the entire venue for a long weekend for a group of 25. The process from start to finish was seamless and brilliant. The staff were helpful and friendly.
