absolutely awful. i was told by the surgery in september 2022 that i needed a referral to MSK, but i would have to request it from them, which i did the following day. they told me it had been done. i then called to follow up every few months as i hadn't heard anything, and in every call i was told i would hear from MSK soon. a year goes by, still nothing, so i make another telephone appointment with the doctor. i ask him to check the referral, it was never done. at this point i call the surgery again to request the referral, they say i need to come for an in-person appointment, which i do. during that appointment the doctor (i believe it was doctor bulmer?) was incredibly dismissive and rude, and told me to just go to a&e next time my pain got bad, which i have done, and they didn't do anything either. when i explained this, he told me to either get a second opinion or leave. i switched to quayside after that and filed a complaint with chapel street, which i was told would be responded to within two weeks, but never heard back from that either. AVOID.

Things have improved considerably since my last review. I applaud the embattled staff on reception and back office who really are trying their best in demanding circumstances!

Normally I think this is a great place. The care I've had from here in the past has been exceptional. But I'm a disabled person. I can't call at 8.30am to make appointments. I'm just not awake at that time. I was told to call at 9am tomorrow. What's the bet all the appointments are taken by then? How does this disabled person get an appointment? Where are the 'reasonable adjustments'?

So unhappy for service!I am registered in this surgery for 10 years! I have left today 25/10/2024 without asthma inhaler!I have begging a receptionist, who did not even introduce herself, for support.I have waited for prescription, call 3-4 times at afternoon…all this people knows is wait,go to A&E,call111 or wait until you die…
So dysfunctional, at one circumstances wrongly diagnosed me!
DO NOT REGISTER TO THIS SURGERY!

Absolutely useless GP surgery. No appointments for very unwell small kids, no appointments for cancer related issues, unhappy, unfriendly staff. I feel sorry for people who work there. There is definitely huge management issue.

I’ve needed help from the practice for various things over the past few months and every interaction has been excellent. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the receptionists are lovely and the doctors and nurses so professional. Thank you so much.

God awful! Rude, can't even stick to their word half the time. My girlfriend had an epileptic seizure because she was waiting for her medication but once AGAIN they didn't send it through. She's now had a seizure because of it
And they still haven't sent it through

My girlfriend is an epileptic and ran out of her medication yesterday so she called in and they said they'll send her prescription through and when we've gone in today to hear that no such thing had been sent, my girlfriend is now spinning out and doesn't feel right and we might have to wait a whole other day for it. Absolutely stupid!

Moved here from another surgery and they have been delightful. You rarely have to wait very long in the waiting room and the staff are friendly and helpful. Also proactive, as writhing 2 weeks of joining, they provided a bowel cancer screening test without me asking which my other surgery completely failed to do.
