I was only in Ambleside for a short while, but I registered to this surgery after expecting to stay for longer. The care I received at the Health Centre was exemplary, and I found the staff, along with my Doctor, to be extremely compassionate and empathetic, to an extent I hadn’t experienced in my native country, Wales. There was no judgement, and I actually feel that my appointments in Ambleside sparked a positive change in my life despite returning to Wales, in regards to an ongoing health condition. I live in Windermere but have used the Ambleside Health Centre since I lived briefly in Ambleside in 1979. Mine and my family"s experience has always been that they were better than any of the Windermere practices, and after I married, my wife transfered to Ambleside after feeling let down by the Windermere practice she initially registered with.
