I can't speak highly enough of my experience with the Cambridge Sports Medicine Centre. My son attended for a rugby injury. We have both attended physio previously with other good providers, but the provision here is just way above what we've had before. Matthew took time to explain and ensure my son fully understood the injury, the status of it and what needed to be achieved in order to get back to fitness, and explained all the way through the reasons for each exercise. There was a lot of emphasis on carrying out the exercises during the sessions in order to ensure he was doing them correctly and sufficiently, with home practice going alongside, rather than a reliance on just showing the exercises and doing the majority from home. My son not only achieved great recovery, but also really enjoyed the sessions, and came away each time very motivated. Although we chose CSMC because of their wealth of experience with sport, I would also absolutely recommend them for non sport-related physio for any age, as well as personal training. It's clear they are very experienced in many areas. If the family needed physio services again in future, I would choose CSMC every time.

I was referred to Cambridge Sports Medicine Centre after dislocating my knee, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Not only is the pain completely gone, but Matthew also worked on improving the strength of the muscles in my legs to help prevent recurring injuries.

I was recommended the CSMC by an orthopaedic surgeon after an MRI revealed a tear of a hamstring tendon and degeneration of my knee cartilage. I was thoroughly pleased with the physiotherapy sessions with Matthew Look, who is evidently passionate about his job and his patients' health and recovery.

Matthew takes time to explain the rationale behind procedures and exercises, personalises your rehabilitation programme to your specific needs, keeps in regular contact to check your progress (even via WhatsApp message), and he even generously threw in a couple of free sessions.

Despite me being an average person who only does sport recreationally, being treated by Matthew honestly felt like I was an elite athlete with a personal physiotherapist and strength and conditioning team - such was the quality of the service!

The actual centre in Comberton is also in a lovely, tranquil area, and the centre has a variety of gym equipment (e.g. leg press machine, barbell rack, exercise bicycle) on which you can learn rehab exercises. Both Matthew and Antoine (who did not personally treat me) are also very friendly and happy to chat about non-health aspects of life as you receive manual therapy etc.

Professional, courteous, and emotionally invested in your recovery, I would definitely recommend Matthew and the CSMC to everyone, whether you are a serious athlete with a sports injury or someone with mobility issues recovering from hip replacement surgery.

Can’t recommend CSMC highly enough. Antoine has been great in managing my return to play from my Ankle ligament injury. He provided me with a clear plan to follow to get back playing and once I was back continued to provide support and exercises to prevent it happening again.

Very knowledgeable team and also great people who will continue to motivate you through your rehab. Would definitely recommend!

I highly recommend Matthew at CSMC. My son was referred by a specialist at The Nuffield for physio to try & prevent a hip operation. With Matthew’s physio plan & amazing knowledge my son is now pain free. We were always made to feel very at ease here and the new office looks fantastic too. Would definitely recommend.
