I needed a blood test at the surgery before a hospital appointment. Contacted the surgery as soon as I got the letter, over 3 weeks prior to the appointment and couldn't get it done until 2 days before, which means my consultant will not have the results when I go to the Dilke. The receptionist told me to go to Gloucester hospital if I need to get a test sooner! Not good enough.

This surgery is no longer fit for purpose, I have today rang for a appointment 13th October and told I should ring up at 8.30 am in the morning for a emergency appointment. I said I work then so it's not possible for me, I would like to just simply make a appointment. I was told there isn't any until November. The receptionist then told me my employer has to let me go to a doctor's appointment. I'm not quite sure why I simply can not just book a appointment. You are the worst doctor's surgery in the forest of dean and I can not wait to switch surgerys which I am sure will not be easy as you are incompetent at best.

Completely inaccessible service - extremely difficult to book an appointment with mostly only telephone appointments and no commitment to a time given for the appointments which makes it very hard to take the call (during working hours) I had an appointment and the doctor called whilst I was in a meeting, I received the text message and replied that I was free - and no response or call! I feel for the elderly and vulnerable who don't stand a chance of getting access to the NHS through their GP at Brunston. It's no wonder so many people waste the time and services of A&E by turning up there.

Apauling, does not care about anybody or their patients. Have to wait months, not just weeks to see a doctor, and if I call for an appointment then it's just someone snarky saying that there are other people more important. I hope you and your family suffer as we have and no one else ever has to deal with this.

Not fit for purpose. Phoned up regarding getting blood tests and overall health check that they are meant to call us about when we reach our 40’s. Spoke to a hopeless receptionist, then waited 3 weeks to speak to the most uninterested wet blanket of a doctor who basically told me to phone back up and book in with a receptionist (who could have just done that in the first place!) This is just the tip of the iceberg, I’ve had more bad experiences than good with them. Going in person to book an appointment you are made to feel like you’re asking for the shirt off their back.
Any place that makes you listen to a recorded message about not being rude or abusive to their staff before you can speak to anyone should probably investigate why people are like that, and perhaps get some new staff that a) know their job, and b) actually want to help.

The staff are always very helpful when you can get through to anyone... which is the issue. I've just got through to the long-winded recorded message preceding the menu system - on my 15th attempt to get through this morning. The website is badly designed, confusing to navigate, and it is nigh-on impossible to find the information you need. Whilst attempting to get through to the surgery this morning I've had more than time enough to try and register with EMS Patient Access as an alternative to calling the surgery. Unfortunately the system does not recognise Brunston & Lydbrook in the search terms, so I guess it's another long while on hold for me.

We are very lucky to have a brilliant surgery, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the few doctors I've seen have been great and really listen. We know not all places are the same so we really do appreciate Brunston.

Just called them as I have had emergency operation, moved into area and had not registered with GP. Happened away from home, want to return but they were so unhelpful, no solution just typical if you cannot register with surgery then you cannot see anyone. If you don't do it in time you may not get appointment tomorrow. NHS aftercare at it's worst! Not nice when you have been through turmoil such an operation. Poor service for sure, as well as an uncompassionate receptionist!
