Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. I'd expected a standard Marriott but actually it's a lovely old building in a great area of Bristol near the water. I had a very spacious room and it was really quiet both inside the hotel and outside - ten out of ten for sound proofing!

Always love staying at the Bristol Marriott when we are in Bristol. Reception desk staff are awesome. (A special shout out to Miss Carla who went above and beyond to help us with a rental car issue unrelated to our hotel stay). The rooms are clean and fresh with beds that are comfy and covered in fine linens. The pillows never have any odor except for clean laundry smell. The rooms are well decorated with helpful furniture placement. We appreciate the bar and restaurant in the hotel as well as the easy close access to all of the area attractions and fun dining options in the heart of the city. The new executive lounge is a great addition for us but even without it our stays have been amazing with consistent service and quality.

My sister and I enjoyed a four-night stay in the two-bed royal apartment. Everything about the hotel was a delight but particularly the helpful and friendly attitude of the staff. We had planned to eat in the hotel some evenings and go out on others, but the Miller and Carter restaurant was so good that we ate in the hotel every day. Despite it being a steakhouse, the menu was very varied. The location of the hotel was also very good - and parking easy.

We had the most wonderful one night stay. It was a belated birthday present from my wife and as we had tickets to see War Horse at the Bristol Hippodrome, (a must see) the Marriott was the closest to the theatre, (three minutes walk). ||The hotel did not disappoint in any way whatsoever. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. All of the staff are so friendly and have a real can do attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. It is also very clear that everyone working there enjoys their job as we never saw a face that wasn't smiling.||We had a room on the fourth floor. it was well appointed and very, very clean. The bed was super comfy which gave us both an excellent nights sleep. It was also very quiet. Great quality toiletries and Twinings Tea which is always a big plus for me.||The hotel itself is beautiful with the most fantastic lobby, restaurant and bar area. It's also kept really clean with plenty of staff on hand to assist should you require anything. ||Breakfast was amazing with so many options from fully cooked to continental. The service again was excellent. We would like to single out a young waitress called Ila who never stopped smiling. Seriously, all of the staff are so brilliant. We will definitely try an evening meal when we return for another stay.||Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and memorable for all the right reasons. WE WILL RETURN.

A perfect stay. The staff were so accommodating, so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and great amenities. Perfect location too right in the city, yet also nice and quiet during our stay. We also had a great view of the cathedral.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean—truly a home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable. While the reception service was a bit slow when I asked for a hair dryer, the staff were polite and helpful once available. Overall, the quality of the accommodations more than made up for the wait. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and style.

I was so impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. We had no idea where was appropriate to eat and the staff gave great recommendations. The hotel was well located and had lovely restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms were spacious and spotless and I would love to return!

Stayed here for four nights and was pleasantly surprised. The room was quiet and came with a fridge, which was really convenient. The reception staff were warm and welcoming, and the interior decor had a delicate touch — lovely paintings and tasteful design throughout. All in all, a comfortable and well-thought-out stay. I’d definitely return next time.
