A return to old fashioned nursing. Wards are manned 24/7 by staff. They wash and shave, get them dressed, feed them instead of leaving them to struggle. So friendly and will see to things straightaway. Such a change in how it's all operated

Been to Blyth hospital rheumatology today the staff were wonderful, the doctor on duty and her team were amazing, lovely friendly caring staff , I couldn't fault them thanks so much too all involved with my appointment, a lovely experience.

When you have to go to the hospital, the expectation is long waiting times, staff running around and exorbitant parking charges. This is the polar opposite at this hospital. Every time I have been here, I have either been seen on time or early. The staff are excellent and there's ample free parking. Overall, a tremendous hospital.

There's a breastfeeding group that meet on Mondays (1pm - 2.30pm) in a large room with lots of mats down on the floor and toys and sensory items for the babies. The staff are friendly, and there are health visitors, breast feeding support, and breast feeding peer supporters there every time. Very friendly and welcoming group for all breastfeeding Mums, whether seasoned or completely new to it all.

Don't ever send your elderly relative to this hospital, they will just sit in their chair day after day and not be looked after, my partner was in their for 4 days before he was visited, only because I made such a fuss, he is deteriorating in this hospital, he went in quite fit, a lot of the nurses should not be in this profesion, they are disgusting.......
There is conflicting advice about what the problem is ' they just lie all of the time

Ward 3 was excellent, looked after my mother for last few weeks of life with such care and dignitiy.All staff work as a team and such good communication even when under pressure with work load, well managed.Well done to all, carnt praise you enough.

Minor injuries states it closes at 5 although this is not the case. I went down with my child at 4:15 and they wouldn't see him, I think the opening times need to be altered.
