I started training with Ian 4 months ago following a pelvic stress fracture through running.
I was apprehensive at my first session.. I've never really liked the gym and had never really done any form of weight training but didn't want to loose my new found fitness that I had gained through running. After my first session I was hooked and I've been coming every week since.

Ian is lovely. He has become my personal trainer and therapist... excellent when needing to unload after a stressful week at work. We train hard but often have a giggle too (usually about my lack of coordination) so it's not all sweat and tears.
Ian's own personal gym is perfect. You have the gym entirely to yourself for your session so your never made to feel insecure as you sometimes can in commercial gyms.

Since training with Ian I have improved my physical strength, gained some muscle and improved my posture... yesterday I went on my first training run back since my Injury and of course Ian was there every step of the way!
I would highly recommend to all levels of fitness, even complete newbies who have never set foot in a gym (you'll soon feel right at home).

I came across Ian quite by chance last January whilst perusing "on-line" searching for a local to Dronfield physiotherapist/therapist. I am in my late 60's and following several recent significant health issues I had lost my general fitness, including my strength, and suffered local damage to some of my back/neck muscle and nerve functions. Ian, through his impressive knowledge and proven techniques applied over the last year, has restored much of my physical abilities and strengthened my general condition beyond expectation. I schedule a weekly one and half-hour session with him which, despite the physical exertion, I thoroughly look forward to and enjoy, especially the therapy treatment given after the demanding work-out. Ian is a kind, friendly and extremely competent personal trainer and I have no qualms about highly recommending him to potential new clients, including those who may be recovering from a specific injury or those just looking for a regular keeping fit and healthy programme designed by Ian taking into account their particular needs and abilities.

I’ve always struggled with training, and I met Ian 7 years ago at the young age of 20. He helped me develop my knowledge, enjoyment and stamina when training and also became a very good friend in the process! He immediately puts you at ease, explains things clearly (and as many times as you need!!) and has a passion for helping people become their best selves. He sets programmes right for your lifestyle, while also helping you achieve your goals. His patience and kindness in the gym is exactly what beginner me needed to overhaul my life, and as I’ve developed, he has pushed me and motivated me more than I ever thought possible. Thank you Ian, for making my body stronger and my eating habits better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why does it say 4.9!? should be 6 stars!!

Ian has a fantastic passion/energy that is really motivating and inspiring. I first met Ian when he was doing jogging sessions in summer 2015 and was based at Pure Gym. Over those weeks with his guidance I started to see improvements. When Ian left I was gutted but kept doing what he had taught and tried to stay disciplined.

When I heard he was opening his own studio I was thrilled! Ive only had a couple of sessions but my motivation and drive is at an all time high. I'm looking forward to further sessions going forward.

Ian will help you achieve your goals and will do so in an accommodating, friendly, realistic and down to earth way! can't recommend him highly enough! cheers Ian!

Ian has the professional, personal approach in his role and takes your goals, health and well-being seriously and makes each session enjoyable.

He tailors the workouts to you and knows the right words to get you moving and to push yourself to be the best you can be that day.

I only hesitate to strongly recommended him as it may prevent me from booking in more 1 hour sessions a week!

I started going to see Ian for Sports massages due to running and increasing my distance. He quickly noticed that I had very stiff shoulders - this is something I'd noticed due to wearing body armour at work. I felt fantastic after each session and the pain I used to have while working got better after each session. While I was there I noticed the equipment he'd got for his personal training sessions. I have always been a cardio kind of girl and wanted to learn how to extend my fitness knowledge by incorporating weight training. I explained to Ian I was lacking confidence in this area and wanted to learn so that I felt confident on my own, not just while I was with him. He was very patient - I can be a little 'special' at learning sometimes. He explained things in an excellent way which made it easy to pick techniques up. He also explained what exercises worked what muscles and the reasons for working these specific areas. I would highly recommend Ian to anyone. Such a kind, patient, happy and knowledgeable instructor.

After a few years not exercising and gradually gaining weight I decided to get a grip and do something about it. I found Ian online and soon arranged a first sesssion, it was so good that I straight away signed up for more. The sessions are fun and the perfect intensity - I always leave feeling like I’ve had a great workout and looking forward to the next one. Ian’s knowledge is excellent, he’s a great motivator and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
