So.. They trailed my soon to be 69 year old Mam with Osteoarthritis to her birthday annual review at 1pm on Tues 3rd Sep 2024 the appointment had been made 2 weeks ago. Got there to find the Surgery completely closed from 12PM Tues 3rd until Wednesday at 8AM. No one called out of courtesy to Cancel or Amend the appointment. Now she needs to book another appointment aswell as a Flu Vaccination.

For months now they have failed to get my repeat dispensing for medication I must take regularly for the rest of my life right. After the last failure I complained and my GP even sent me a letter saying that it had been rectified and today at the pharmacy I find that that simply isn't true. Sometimes it works but for every month of efficiency they seem to lapse into three of uselessness. Fed up.

My first issue is with the phones. It takes nearly 2 minutes to get the choice of what number to press. We don’t have time for this. Please turn it off. Also one of the options, I was ringing for 45 minutes and I didn’t get through. The online services are not clear enough to use.

My second issue is the waiting times. Out of the last 10 visits to the doctors, I think once I’ve been seen on time. The rest have been delays of at least 20 minutes, that’s not including me attending early, sometimes I’ve waited as long as 45. I have anxiety/ptsd, sitting in a busy waiting room is very difficult and them 9 times out of 10 I come away feeling a lot worse. If someone attends late, the other patients should not have to suffer the consequences. My appointments im in and out without 5-10 minutes, so I can’t imagine patients going over their appointment duration is causing the delays.

Edit: I must admit that the service from the staff is good. It’s just the two problems mentioned. No issues with any of the staff at all.

Shocking surgery. Sent me a text to phone the surgery. Was on hold for over an hour before anyone answered. Attitude of receptionist is disgusting. Advanced nurse practitioners is lovely that’s if you can get to see one. Overall performance is very poor. Sent wrong prescriptions to wrong chemists. Avoid at all costs because you will not get basis care never Mind good care.

If you could have no stars I would put 0. This surgery is laughable. They obviously don't have any training for their receptionists as their communication skills are non existent. The manager does not like to receive emails re the appalling service they offer vulnerable people so you can't email. When asked for the complaints form the receptionist ripped the bottom off a note she had written on and told me to write it on that and hand it in. Absolutely terrible

I've been with bewicke for a good number of years now and I've never had one problem with any of the staff they are always extremely professional and caring towards their patients so I don't know why people are leaving negative reviews about here at all it's a fantastic clinic which has awesome staff what more can I say

I've had no problems with the doctors here, but the issue is trying to see one.
Receptionist staff are short, blunt, show no empathy or consideration and have very little interest in patients.
Tried to ring up for an appointment today at 8:40am and was told there was no appointments for today unless it was with the nurse in the morning. When I explained I'm at work until 4pm, she said there isn't anything later today and did not even attempt to offer an appointment on a following day.

The most terrible GP practice. At the reception there are people who think of themselves as doctors and decide whether I need a doctor or not. I will write a complaint against them to the NHS and I think that everyone who has encountered their lack of professionalism should do the same.
