Two follow up appointments cancelled for a surgery I had in March. One on the day of the appointment and one with 4 days notice when appointment has been booked for months. Been a paying member of Benenden for years and sadly it is really going downhill. Quite disappointed really and starting to have less and less confidence with this service. We are considering cancelling our membership.

I had an operation on November 4th, just brilliant.
All members of staff introduced themselves, explaining their role and your procedure. No complications, after care explained and going well.
Thanks again, especially to the nurses as you talk them the most and I believe they work hardest.

Had Surgery two weeks ago for Bunion and hammer toe correction. From the start of my journey with X-rays & Scans through to the surgery, my treatment has been exemplary. Staff are fantastic and hospital cleanliness is 1st class. My treatment was done under NHS but at no point was I treated any different to the private patients. Highly recommend.

2019 I went to benenden for tingling legs and feet burning all the time . I went for a two hour mri test to see what it was but nothing couldn’t be found 8 years later I still have the problem but now know it’s a trapped nerve . That should have been picked up before in 2019 . So went back to see a doctor about my trapped nerve . I went armed with a mri scan saying it was a trapped nerve but no the consultant said it could be a chest infection . How utterly rediculus . The mri was don’t two weeks before I went to see the specialist but no he wanted to do another mri needless to say I came out and cancelled my family’s account. This is a scam and when you have been in a couple of time you will realise and no I don’t want to talk about it . Do not sign up to it . It’s a very dangerous way of doing business. Someone could die !

My wife and I have been members of Benenden for 37 years and until this year had never used the facility. My wife had a prolapse and was referred there by her GP, the nurse who saw her at first was really nice but unfortunately the gynaecologist she saw was anything but, he examined her but decided that it wasn't the prolapse that was causing her pain but her bowel and referred her to that department where she went through the indignity of a colonoscopy where they found nothing wrong. The gynaecologist refused to do anything about the prolapse, the initial consultation was eight months ago, she still has the prolapse and is now on the NHS waiting list, her treatment there was a disgrace and a complete waste of time.

I had an op beginning of the year carried out by urologist Mr Moore who has been brilliant and from day one he knew what the problem could be. Prior to the op I had various scans and procedures which were carried out with no problems. The aftercare has been fantastic. A big thank you to Jan in urology whohas been so helpful and always staying in touch offering advice. I am so glad I joined Beneden.

Lovely hospital, peaceful location. Spotlessly clean with great staff.

Had my knee surgery here under the care of Mr William Dunnet.
First class service from start to finish. Mr Dunnet explained every step of the way. Put me at total ease and made a stressful surgery much easier for me.

Thoroughly recommend the hospital and my consultant.

Quite disappointed really. I suffered leg and hip pain and had an MRI scan which showed a slight L5 trapped nerve. Although I did inform Benenden that it was not a nerve pain and was intermittent ache when walking at speed and going up or down stairs and inclines. I had a Cortisone injection following which there was no improvement and had no effect at all. Consultant then wanted to re-MRI the same area again (why?). However, I would have to pay this myself which I thought thoroughly unfair as obviously the original diagnosis was incorrect. I cancelled the appojintment as it was hundreds of pounds which I was unable to afford. Suffice to say I am still in pain. Back to the NHS I suppose.
