Beckenham Pharmacy, 171-173 High Street

I had a very unpleasant experience at this pharmacy. This is my first time visiting a pharmacy in England so I had a few questions around payment and my prescription. The gentleman who assisted me initially was kind and helpful. However, the other man dispensing my medication was rude and dismissive when I asked to confirm my prescription as I had recently requested my GP to change it. He simply told me that I didn’t have to take it if I didn’t want to with an unhelpful "take it or leave it" attitude. This is unacceptable, especially when dealing with something as important as medication. The staff should be more empathetic and patient.

I have been using this pharmacy for over 20 years and have never had a serious problem. Occasionally there are delays in getting the prescription back from the doctors, but they have always been ready to give me an emergency supply if needed

Some of the staff are a bit rude and abrupt for no reason. Several times I've been there and the lady serving has just glared at me as if I was irritating her by entering the shop. No customer service from her, ie. "How can I help" just says, "yeah?" Then simply drops the prescription on the counter and glares at you until you leave. The male pharmacist was more helpful.

ACTUAL RISK TO HEALTH AND SAFETY, STAY AWAY! These people are rude and don't know what they're doing, and when you consider they're handling drugs that could literally harm people if taken incorrectly I would strongly suggest that you take a short walk to the next pharmacy for your own peace of mind. The replies to the well-deserved negative reviews by the owner are absolutely inappropriate. Surely if there are multiple reviews stating that the staff who have apparently been working there for 15+ years are rude then maybe it's time for some new staff. This pharmacy is a blight on the High Street.

They asked if I get my prescription for free, I said I'm on Universal Credit and jokingly said "I'm poor" the woman behind the counter looked at me and said with all seriousness "well then you should get a job" not knowing that I already have two jobs to try and pay the overpriced rent in my London flat. These people are truly awful and do not deserve your money. Go give it to someone else.

Every single time I have to get a prescription sent to this place it takes ages even if it’s supposed to be an emergency prescription. The staff are rude and don’t even bother to check the details properly before saying no I don’t have anything for this person and they don’t even notify you beforehand if they do not have the prescription in stock. I will be changing pharmacy now because this has been ongoing through my entire pregnancy and I do not need delays when there’s medication I need.

All wonderful for me certainly, Nothing was too much trouble with George the pharmacist, Kay the manager and Ella giving top class old fashion service in a pleasant friendly environment.. Best in the area M

Incredibly rude and unprofessional phone manner. I called to enquire if a medication was available, on my first effort I was hung up on. On my second, the individual that dealt with me was incredibly rude. He said he was “incredibly busy” told me to “listen” on several occasions. I was simply trying to understand when I could expect stock of what I require. There’s no need to talk to people in such a dismissive way. Not a nice way to talk to someone who has an urgent medial need.
