Quality of service and empathy towards patient is non-existent: 11 stroke ward

- My mum has been here for 4 days
- Night team have been extremely unhelpful and rude I would give them minus-5 if that was possible.
- no Doctor has met to relay the results, when asked the nurse they kept saying they will come, and then at the end of the day they say the doctors have gone. And only say “sorry we can’t do anything.”
- 4th day they say you should’ve seen the doctor before, but yet they don’t want us to keep asking for the doctor saying “ we know we have already told you”
- overall they just say whatever they want to and get you out of the way. You can’t get a straight answer from anyone. (I would highly recommend recording what they say and taking their name down) because the information keeps changing.

I love the NHS I had some really good experience in the past and there is pockets of good nurse here and they deserve 5 stars and above.

But overall, this department has a big issue, nurse do not care. It’s just a job and your piece of meat in a processing system.

NHS is broken and a handful of bad Apple nurse are ruining the name. With the lack of empathy and changing what they say. Sitting around and pretending to work, just gossiping and talking.

Here’s hoping I’m not dying of cancer! They make it impossible to get your results. Apparently the only way I get to find out is by waiting by a phone over a two to three hour timeframe rather than the actual time the appointment letter says. Then call you 45 minutes earlier and simply reschedule it to whenever. No wonder we are all dying. I’m sure 14 years of Tory rule hasn’t done you any favours, but I’m now too tired of having a zero functioning NHS.

Anna and Soni at the colposcopy department were amazing. They made my daughter feel so comfortable and explained everything so well at every step. Such professional support and humility. Thank you so much ☺️

Poor communication and organisation amongst the staff. Not sure if this is due to inadequate technology or middle management. Also quite rude and unapologetic admin staff. I appreciate they get probably difficult patients regularly but that’s what happens when you work in any frontline role. The fact there hasn’t been a CQC report published for a number of years is alarming.

Couldn’t think of a worse hospital including ones in 3rd world countries!

Spent half a day for an x ray! Everything is so vague, they made me sit in the most uncomfortable chair with a broken spine

Was put through to Barts via video call after calling 111 due to having numbness in both arms and extreme back of head pain as 111 was hoping they would bring me in for an urgent MRI.
Spoke to Claire who told me it won't be anything serious likely a migraine and to take ibuprofen. I clearly explained multiple times I do not suffer with migraines and the numbness in both arms and hands is not normal but was ignored and told to see my GP for migraine medication.....
3 weeks later my GP refers me for MRi and turns out I have herniated disks in c2 to c3 and c3 to c4. Thanks Claire for leaving me in in immense pain for weeks from not taking my symptoms seriously. I'm 32 this was never a normal to have full arm numbness on both arms..

I do not rate this hospital at all .credit where credits due for the chemo side of things excellent the nurses excellent .the amount of complaints I've had to make rubbish .the promises of doctors calling me back with information non existent. The time it takes despite mentioning it almost daily to get anything Done with my partners eating and still only now scratching the surface and letting his weight drop drastically unacceptable. The feeling of being out of the loop and stuff not happening despite begging pleading and complaining worse then useless. The fact that's its taken just under 6 months of constant complaining for things to be looked at re xrays etc shocking
